You can get get better quality and smaller files of smoother playback and fast seeking using RV10. Get Easy Real Media Producer on Doom9.

well i found sumthin like vmware decoder its got a gud video compression but alas no sound since vmware can't play sound

The lower the bitrate you use, the lower the quality is going to be.

Use VirtualDub and XviD codec to produce good AVIs. Not WMVs...
