grafx1 Posted July 8, 2005 Share Posted July 8, 2005 i'd played Quake under Dos, then Quake 2 under win 98, but when i tried Quake 3demo under XP, the game is working OK, but the characters are moving very fast that i can not shoot or do anything... is this normal ??Thank you. Q3 is a lot faster paced than Q2 or the original Quake.You just need to get better. Oh... and if you want craziness... play the original UT on Godlike in Assault - Overlord... that game gets nuts! I love the speed of the game. Played it the first 2 years EVERY night for at least 2 hours. After that a bit less, but I still play it occasionally, to release some steam. If you're interested we could hook up on my (or a public) server and I can show you some tricks like bunny-hopping (=strafe jumping), rocket jumps, and plasma climbs! I can't wait for the release of Q4. I have all original boxes starting from Q1, and for Q3 I have the limited edition tin box. Yes... I'm a Quake fanboy!Hope you enjoy it!
