the nec-3520 is pretty good, ive had no problems with it so far and its rly fast

there is also a 3530 and 3540 version of it but ive never seen any reviews on those

don't know what is the best but i'm very satisfied with mine: nec-3500ag

price (w/ shipping cost) was 80€~95$ and never gave me any problem.

i've burnt absolutly all kind of media from a DVD9 ps2 backup to a 300mb mini-cdrw for my winpe (autoboot) w/o problems.

edit: some1 has been faster with almost the same model lol

ok then i will order 4 of these for my new computer

I have four & are Liteon 16x, LG 12X, Pioneer 16X & a Ricoh 4x. Id say the best would be a toss between the LG & the Pioneer as far as speed & reliability go.

u know this base on how much different units have you purchased?

I also used plextor several years back. But your paying big bucks

for just the name did u know that?

most dvd writers are all produced by the same manufacturer in china

and branding happens latter

LG-4630BB is what I use.
