TiXer Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 I have searched through the forum here, but I can't find what I'm looking for..I'm wondering. Is there a good FREE defrag program I can download somewhere? I'm not to pleased with the built in Windows defrag...
jaclaz Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Well, you should make sure to search on all the forum, this was first result (after the stickies):http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=44890Where there is a link to dirms and buzzsaw.jaclaz
Jeremy Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Raxco PerfectDisk is the best Defragger and they have a PDF file on their homepage proving this. I use it and it is simply awesome.
TiXer Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 Well, you should make sure to search on all the forum, this was first result (after the stickies)Where there is a link to dirms and buzzsaw.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I missed the phrase: "They are both free and work at least as good if not better than stuff you have to pay for. Much more effective than XP standard defragger." by dman @Jeremy: It says in the other topic that Raxco isn't a free program. I can't afford any software now. That's why I need a free one..
Zxian Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I think you might be looking for the golden egg here...The BuzzSawService is really good though, if you can't afford any payware. I've used it on a number of systems and it keeps things decently organized. I second that motion...
TiXer Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 @Zxian: Then I'll give that one a try.. Maybe I will have to make a payware defrag a birthdaywish next year.. If I don't find a satisfying freeware defrag..
