Free defrag?

Featured Replies

I have searched through the forum here, but I can't find what I'm looking for..

I'm wondering. Is there a good FREE defrag program I can download somewhere? I'm not to pleased with the built in Windows defrag...

Raxco PerfectDisk is the best Defragger and they have a PDF file on their homepage proving this. I use it and it is simply awesome.

Well, you should make sure to search on all the forum, this was first result (after the stickies)

Where there is a link to dirms and buzzsaw.

I missed the phrase: "They are both free and work at least as good if not better than stuff you have to pay for. Much more effective than XP standard defragger." by dman :blushing:

@Jeremy: It says in the other topic that Raxco isn't a free program. I can't afford any software now. That's why I need a free one..

I think you might be looking for the golden egg here...

The BuzzSawService is really good though, if you can't afford any payware. I've used it on a number of systems and it keeps things decently organized. I second that motion...

@Zxian: Then I'll give that one a try.. Maybe I will have to make a payware defrag a birthdaywish next year.. If I don't find a satisfying freeware defrag.. ;)
