Tuesday morning from 5:30-6 am Eastern Time (2:30 - 3 Pacific Time). The Earth will plow through a swarm of particles that escaped from Comet Tempel-Tuttle when it rounded the Sun back in 1866.

You should see several meteors a minute -- perhaps as many as one a second.

Look toward the constellation Leo (hence the name Leonids).

BONUS:

Tuesday night, Nov 19: Lunar Eclipse of the full moon, from 8:15 to 9:15 pm Eastern Time, (5:15 - 6:15 Pacific)

The coldest weather in Southern Florida since I was born. It was 48 Degrees in Fort Lauderdale, FL this morning.

I look forward to viewing the shower tomorrow morning.

I went out this morning at 4:30 AM local time, and unfortunately it was a bit overcast. I only saw a few meteors - but they were quite bright and beautiful. Oh well - in 2033, it should be pretty good again.

I went out at 4:35 AM (CST). There were some bright ones with tails. Frequency was more than one per min. It must have been a site for anyone out near us. Me and my wife in lawn chairs, leaned back, pointing and counting.
