how do i create cab files so i can compress $OEM$ folder so all the installers, msi installer are compressed down to fit on a 650 MB cd-rw? i can remove some stuff from windows os but i need too slim down $OEM$ Folder.

also do i need switchs for the cab files too be extracted?

i can overburn the cd if i haft too. but i rather see if i can compress the installers that i have in the $OEM$ folder.

You can use Powerarchiver to make .cab files.

But I think making a silent package would be much easier.

Use WinRar to make it.

Why don't you try the 7z (7-zip) format? It's got a much higher compression ratio!

to make cab files you can use something like this

MAKECAB /D CompressionType=LZX /D CompressionMemory=21 /L

But if you want to compress your $OEM$ folder better to use WinRar with selfextraction.

I put my ProgramFiles and Systemfiles inside this package and have ~29MB of size.

It includes Resourses files with custom themes, wallpapers, system32, Fonts and ~20 Programs which don't need installations.

If you interesting how you can do this, I can explain.

@moo acully i need too do silent installation for the installers that i have for windows xp and i am intersed how too reall compress like system32 and the wallpaper and such. i use cmdline.txt for the installers and i would like too know how too compress these installeres like 5 MBs or less
