Ge0ph Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Isnt lava reddish in color??? thats what they show in discovery chanel, this looks like oil and tar.Only when it's really HOT. B)
Martin L Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Isnt lava reddish in color??? thats what they show in discovery chanel, this looks like oil and tar.Only when it's really HOT. B) the outside of lava is always black because it's colder then the inside, inside is red/orange
Martin L Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 btw did you guys know that real diamonds come from volcanos?
prathapml Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 umm.... then let a thousand volcanoes bloom because no one will refuse diamonds, lol.Oh, and those pics are very nice. The "scenic backdrop" of those mountains and skies is worth seeing!
mark Posted January 20, 2005 Author Posted January 20, 2005 This lava is hot. It may not be as hot as the lava coming out of the typical volcano, but remember that this is still liquid rock. Hot! You might notice that some of the photos are night shots and then you see it glow. Another thing that is unique as far as I know with this lava is that it is black when it is hot and comes out of the volcano, brown when it has cooled off and then turns white with oxydation I think. Very odd.
mark Posted January 22, 2005 Author Posted January 22, 2005 ok..my guess is..its dog poo!!!!I think you might prefer stepping in the poo than this.
