January 7, 200521 yr Author What are you talking about, illegal software. The file is Windows XP Pro x64 Beta.BobbyB
January 7, 200521 yr I'm sorry to say guys but that an't warez nor is it the incorrect isoI got that exact iso image from the microsoft site on 16/12/04.
January 7, 200521 yr You must first run the program to extract the contents, then burn that image to cd.
January 7, 200521 yr Are you just burning the ISO to a CD?If so, that's the problem. You need to create a Cd from the ISO. In Nero they call it something like create disk from image. It is not warez and it is the right ISO.@jondercikThere is no program to run, it's just an ISO or an image of an install CD. All he needs to do is create a CD from that image (ISO).
January 7, 200521 yr mmm i'm not that sure... it could be perfectly win2k3 64bit sp1 slipstreamed... all of you know what happen with those donkey net files.to be sure compare the file size with the one located on microsoft server, 501.89M.there are 3 files with that exact name and different sizes, maybe 1 of them is what you downloaded and what is causing problems so open that file with WinISO or mount it with Daemon-Tools and take a look at the files inside...if it's correct size and contents then sorry
January 7, 200521 yr Author I guess I'm stupid but I still don't understand.jonderik: You state: You must first run the program to extract the contents. What program?GeOph: You state: In Nero, they call it something like "Create disk from image". I don't find that option in my Nero 5. Should have Nero 6?Everything I find in Nero is to create a a image. I already have a image file. I need to reverse things, (like unzip).
January 7, 200521 yr If you are running windows XP, just right click the file, and select openwiththen point the wizard to Nero. If nero isn't in the menu, then click browse and point it to the "C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\nero.exe" fileonce nero opens the file, it bring up the burn cd dialogue boxI'm sure you'll know how to proceed from there.BTW, driver support as well as software support of 64 bit operating systems is horrible, so I wouldn't bother trying to use this as an operating system at this point.ZoneAlarm won't work, and I'd have doubts as to whether Norton will either.Good luck finding audio drivers as well, so far the only drivers I've seen for Asus boards are network drivers in 64 bit architecture
February 21, 200521 yr BobbyB, In Nero this is the option that you need. Just open the ISO image like this and burn it. It is a bootable cd. BTW- I've tried it and its c*** so far.

March 15, 200521 yr How are you trying to install it? You need to do a complete reinstall to use the betas. You must restart the computer and boot off the CD. You cannot install the Windows XP x64 Beta from WITHIN Windows itself, you must boot off the CD.

In the FileType dialog you will have to click the drop-down and select the line item that lists *.ISO.As an alternative, you could double-click the ISO (assuming it isn't associated with something already) and select Nero as the program you want to use to open it with.Jason
March 29, 200521 yr what i would use this for is for testing so you get a good idea of what xp 64x is,you can't run 16 bit programs on it but 32 bit and future 64 bit,go here for 64 bit info: http://www.planetamd64.com it might have drivers for you
