Fezik Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 I'm creating my first Unattended CD, but I don't know what I should use. I don't care if its share/freeware, so long as it's good in your opinion. Thanks.
DigeratiPrime Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 a Good Freeware program is here:http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
DigeratiPrime Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 well i use nero too, but if he needs something free thats the best he can do imo.
dcrowder32 Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Deep Burner is a very nice freeware I use. Has all functions I need. Also a small program easy for unattended install.I like Roxio Easy CD/Media Creator of the commercial offerings.
GeneralMandible Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 No offense dcrowder32, but Roxio sucks compared to Nero. Even the free Nero Express is good.
magicfly Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 for free, cdburner xp is the best otherwise go for nero
diesel_98a Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 i use Roxio Easy CD/Media Creator & haven't had a problem w/ it. i have also tried the cdburnerxp w/ no problems as well.
Smeeeprig Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 I've used Nero for years and have no complaints but i want to get my system over to as much freeware as possible. I tried CdBurnerXp Pro and deep burner but didn't care for either that much. So now I'm settled on using burnatonce. Nice and sleak gui with all the function I could need. Data cds, audio cds and image burning.
Slimy Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 DigeratiPrime is correctnero is uneeded for me at least, cdburnerxppro
Inray Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 DiskJuggler is my favorite since its very first days. Never liked bloated applications like Nero and the rest.DJ is pro-class, and has many advanced features like multiple CD/Robots burning, burn to lan devices, an excellent low level engine, audio RIP premastering. All in less than 5-6 MB (13 with PDF manual).
mendipjohn Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Got OEM Nero Express 6 with my CD/DVD-RW, dont like it much, hasent got many features such as the boot sector options needed to make an un-attended CD. It feels cheap overall. My current burning application which does do all these things warns me about incomaptibility with XP SP2, and since I cant afford an upgrade, i am looking hard at some of the freeware packages people have posted here today Do they offer the boot sector features like Nero? Or do you need the Pro (paid for) version of these packages.
