MageJubi Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 That's the exact one I used, except I changed the name to TM.msi. I get different messages depending on how I use switches. Sometimes, it'll say it can't find the file on C:. I do get one small popup window that shows "required switches" and "optional switches" like /qn, etc. They showed something like "/package/i/whatever.msi" in the "required" section?? Didn't look like any switches I've seen before, but I probably looked at it wrong. I'll get it figured out eventually, as I don't want to have to click "next".
narrative Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 hmm that's weird. not too sure. oh and after i extract the .exe i have setup.exe, pcc.exe and the msi in the folder. just to let you know.
Winnetou Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Cleanest way is to use the .msi and build a .mst file for the installation. This way you can install Chillin as followed :setup.msi /TRANSFORMS=setup.mst /qb-!
MageJubi Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 OK. finally got it. I think it was not having all the files from the extracted .exe put in the same place...to Totoymola--you asked what version I was using, and I replied "the latest"--sorry about that... what I SHOULD have said was 4.1.100.1332.
narrative Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 haha yea i think the .msi refrences the .exe files.
buletov Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Does no-one use Pc-cillin, it is the best antivirus on the market?uhem, hardly...
Ctwizzy Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I am looking to shrink the source of my Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005 cd. I extracted all the files to my HD.How do I figure out which files are safe to remove yet still have it install? I know I could remove one by one until it fails but why do that? Also the default install is FULL which includes the firewall, emergency center, and wifi detection. I dont need any of that crap I just want the Antivirus option instead. How can I tell it to select the non default setup? The installer from the msi is install shield. Thanks!
totoymola Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Hi. The easiest way to do that is by using an mst. About deleting other files, of course you can do that.
Ctwizzy Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Where can I learn about msts? i did a search but 3chars is too small for the search engine.Thanks.And how do I determine which files I can delete?
totoymola Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Here's the link buddy. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=38802&hl=I can't really say which files are safe to delete because I dont have the original installer with me. Can you post a list of all the files? Just use DIR command.
RYU81 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 is there way to 1-skip License Agreement.2-to install PC-cillin without try to uninstall AntiVirus on my computer.
hammr25 Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Has anyone tried including the latest pattern file with their install? I was wondering if the pattern file had to be renamed to match the one that came with the installer or if I could just include the new one and delete the old one. I think I'll just delete the old one and see what happens.
