Well maybe its a url....ie MSN.url or maybe some other file extension....I'm sure you can remove it...its just a matter of finding out what type of link it is.

****, and I thought we were done with these scripts. Ok, encounted a problem with IconPackager doing a fresh Unattended.

The script seems to run fine, but at the end, after it has selected the correct Skin, the button OK is never pressed. So the screen says up through the rest of RunOnceEx.

i have tried to make my own ntoskrnl but the windows doesn't load.

so i decided to use bootskin to make the design work.

i want to include bootskin in my unattended windows.

but i don't know the code to put for selecting a specific theme, and install silently.

Can some body help me?

Info:

Stardock BootSkin is a program that allows users to change their Windows 2000 and Windows XP boot screens.

Unlike other programs that can change the Windows XP boot screens, BootSkin does so in a safe manner. It doesn't patch the Windows XP kernel. Nor does it require the user to download replacement Windows XP kernels to do so.

Until you encounter with an unability to boot after applying some fresh-new-downloaded cool bootskin.

It is cured with booting in safe mode and turning back to default boot logo.

That happened with me and a lot of people, as I read in forums.

It seems, that this tool's got a problem with SP2 (or even SP1), and there wasn't new version for a looooong time.

So, try it with a caution.

i have been using this program for a very long time.

And i dont have any problems with it.

I am running Windows XP w/ Service Pack 2 + 40 of the latest Hotfixes.

I've used this program as well without any problems. It's really easy to use and setup.

The fact that you can bypass it by going into Safe Mode is a great thing too, since if you screw up your ntoskrnl.exe file by replacing it with a modded version that doesn't work, a format is the only way out (except for using Knoppix or WinPE - but that's much harder anyways...).
