sixpack Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Hey Ryan...on my system your Installer of the Runtime Environment reboots after installation....are there any switches the install needs so that it doesn't reboot?yep booting here to
RyanVM Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 Let me try rebuilding the exe quick. I'll post a link in a minute.
RyanVM Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 OK, give this a try. This is the command being executed after extraction:jre5.msi /qb-! ADDLOCAL=ALL IEXPLORER=1 MOZILLA=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress JAVAUPDATE=0Would those of you having problems please try it and see if it works? And for those reading this two months from now, the link will be deactivated once I get feedback on it.*link gone*
skybl4ck Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 works! thanks ryanvm, using all of your silent install packages and they are superb!
RyanVM Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 hmm, somehow the fixed version must have been overwritten by the obsolete one. Oh well, when I hear back from a few more people that it works OK, I'll rename it to jre5.exe on my FTP server.
sixpack Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 workingthanks btwedit: still boots when using RunOnceEx but when you klick it on the desktop it installs fine
skybl4ck Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 yeah, it does still reboot when i use it in runonceex
RyanVM Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 No clue. I run it from a GuiRunOnce cmd file and it doesn't reboot.
JPamplin Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 The revised version posted on the previous page also rebooted for me as well. This was on a "real" PC doing a CMD file installation script of several apps before the desktop was loaded (a CMD in GuiRunOnce) in WinXP SP2 Corp.I am tempted to unpack it all and try your string though, Ryan. Thanks for continuing to try figuring it out.JP
RyanVM Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 What's weird is that I don't have any restarting issues with it.Anyone else feel like trying another test version?jre5.msi /qb-! ADDLOCAL=ALL IEXPLORER=1 MOZILLA=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress*link gone*
