@Stanislavs, he wants to shrink the installation of w98se, like nlite works for XP.

i've read a little about that and found a manual dunno where, but i remember that w95 can be shrinked down to 15mb...

edit: if found it. good and bad news... good news, this is the page http://www.wimborne.org/richard/shrinkingwindows/ ...bad news a quote from that page...

I immediately removed information that I felt would be a conflict of interest under my new employment contract
if any1 it's interested i've got a copy from a year ago "how to shrink w95 to 5,95mb", i can make a little tutorial if you like... part of what i've got
Apparently only 5.35Mb in size (at the moment.... I'm told this might go down!) - without using UPX / any compression

Uses the explorer interface

Uses a 2 line SYSTEM.INI file - [386Enh] followed by MOUSE=*VMOUSE on the next line.

Works in "normal" mode NOT safe mode

Stops several files from being "expanded" by making use of folders/directories with the same names

Still no registry

Still no swap file

Created on a 486DX saved from the trashcan :-)
