In my college computers, you can download the softwares but you cannot install any software and also you cannot access any Games Web Site, Web based MSN Messenger or any Chat Room. They blocked them all. However some people got some softwares installed in their accounts like MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger but they dont tell me or my friends how they did it.So I would like to know that how do i install softwares like MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger in my college computer?

Because when i type online games on any search engine, the result doesn't come up. So same for web site URLs.

Maybe, so that you can pay more attention and not have those distractions in the first place?A reason for everything.

Phyridean Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 If they were giving him a good reason to pay attention, he probably wouldn't be looking for a solution like this in the first place. Any fix I can think of for this would leave the rest of the computer as a gaping security hole, not just for you. You can go to start->run->gpedit.msc and (if possible) right click on "local computer policy" and click properties. Click the two checkboxes, install your software, and then unclick the checkboxes. Might work, but probably not. My college is a bit more understanding. That, or you could just get a laptop....
XtremeMaC Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 they are trying to take students attention on hacking the school network I think they might need some good coders in the school I'm sure if they've disabled that they've disabled the ability to go to gpedit, but give it a try, ow also u're probably using a power account (less than that but I forgot the name) so things are disabled like that as wellow 1 thing u can try are the proxies. try to find a proxy and go to web messenger through that.
