Download Manager recormendations

Featured Replies

Hi there all,

Currently i am using Real Download 4.0 as my default download manager for IE, however with all the updates to software etc i am doing with my Unattended installations i was wondering if there is perhaps something better i should be looking at.

Would you be interested in your suggestions and feedback on other download managers that i should maybe have a look at... Pro's and Con's would be helpful.

Felix

i've used real download for a time... sucks!

look for "net transport" that can download streaming and do the same better!

hi

i use FreeDownloadManager

im very pleased with it, as its name suggests its free :P & is very good, it integrates into any browser, has a nice GUI, & uses low memory

only "con" ive found is it doesnt show a progress bar.. rather a percentage complete sign , but still well worth the download

ive tried many & this is my favourite 1, leechget, flashget, getrite & many others.. they either all cost or take up alot of room or have a crappy UI :P

regards

I agree with MCT. I use Free Download Manager also. I used every download manager on the net. Its the best and only getting better.

Free Download Manager here too.

:thumbup

Reget Deluxe 4.x is very good.

Far more scalable than other similar apps, and it plugs into any browser...

I highly recommend flashget I used to use getright but now prefer flashget by far

Easy to use

has a ftp browser in it also

Check it out

I use download accelerator, it is also free.

and it has a leech function, if u want to download all the pics on one

page u can just click leech and u download all the pics.

getright doesn't have that. but i also like getright

It looks like most people love flashget (I've tried it just once and I'm not familiar with it so I can't judge yet), but otherwise I'd say getright. the browser in it (ctrl-B) is very handy too.

I installed Free Download Manager yesterday and it's the best manager I've ever used! Previously I've used most of the others like, Download Accelerator, Fresh Download, Star Downloader etc, but man the Free Download Manager is awesome!!

For anyone who recommends Flashget:

NetTransport is a 1:1 clone of Flashget, but completely free.
