gamehead200 Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 OK, everyone... I'd like to really know how Gmail can handle so many messages. So, I'd like for everyone on the forum to send e-mails with or without large attachments just to see if Gmail will bounce messages after I go over their 1 GB limit. So please send your spam / large attachments to:I'll post what goes on in this thread!
XPerties Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 BOY you better be glad that's a gmail account...rofl..Nah just kidding.
Doggie Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 in the meantime i'll link gmail staff and they'll remove your account
XtremeMaC Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 if we forward the spam to u it'll be seen as if u've recieved it from us. so they won't be real spam I dunno if u understand me quick thing u can do. why not send yourself an email with a large attachment? like put an xp iso (I'm just suggesting that bc u probably have lots of images laying around) send it from one of your other accounts. I'd forward all my spam on yahoo but unfortunatelly yahoo doesn't have forward all option and I definitely don't want to dl them to my outlook them forward them to u 1 other thing u can do, if gmail supports disposable email accounts (just like yahoo has) subscribe to some lame porn sites and u'll be recieving lots of spam as u know then u can remove the disposable email address..
sven Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 well, large attachments cant go over around 10mb, thats like 100 files
XtremeMaC Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 ow u're right but it'd still be easily done.go to your outlook create a message put a 9.99mb attachmentthen put the email adress 10 times in the to section or cc it 10 times. there u go. its just copy & paste. i'm sure its easier then getting spams and waiting for ppl to send emails... but that's me..
prathapml Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Nice idea there.BTW, I've sent a (supposedly) spam e-mail to his address saying I'd drive a truck through the mail-box the next time......

nolookingca Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 (edited) go to the CBC website, register, and then subscribe to every newsletter you can. Also subscribe to Scot's Newsletter, set the MSFN alerts to deliver to your inbox (register your email with passport ), and last but not least, subscribe to all of the Weather Network's stuff, the Langalist, and SpywareInfoDid I do the last but not least part too soon again? P.S. This has the bonus of actually being "useful", well only if you are a MSFN geek.P.P.S. Sorry for being so...errr....puntuation-less. Edited September 5, 2004 by nolookingca
