Dietmar Posted February 19 Posted February 19 There is a new version 2.0 of csmwrap. https://github.com/FlyGoat/csmwrap It solves 2 big hurdles: To put the bar < 4 GB and to shrink the vga memory to 256. This is necessary, to prevent Bios to use again memory > 4GB Dietmar
reboot12 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 When we create the i219 driver for XP, I will start thorough testing CSMWrap 2.0.0 and two new versions 2.1.0 and 3.0.0

seahorser Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) @Dietmar So in order to boot xp x32 we need boot files from vista? Where I should place csmwrap efi to a usb disk to boot in UEFI bios? Do I need the csmwrap.ini? How csmwrap knows what bootloader it has to load? I have placed csmwrapx64.efi on usb: EFI\BOOT\ renamed as BOOTX64.EFI and on the same usb partition I place ntldr, ntdetect.com and boot.ini which has several entries at root. Then boot from UEFI: "my usb name" and it goes straight to hard disk and load the THAT os from there. Why I don't see the count down timer from boot.ini? I think that it didn't run csmwrap at all and have done several test changing usb partition type ID with bootice, set usb MBR with bootice's "Process MBR" etc. ps. I'm new to UEFI Edited April 14 by seahorser
