Dietmar Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 @Mov AX, 0xDEAD I see at the nuked Fernando forum, that in October 2018 you have a talk with Lost_N_BIOS: " Mov_AX_0xDEAD October 23, 2018, 5:56pm 227 That’s cool @Mov AX, 0xDEAD was it that easy, just re-arrange in AmitSESteupData? that was no easy, AMITSESetupData is binary file, i manually found offsets to menus (pages) and offsets to each element. page contains pageid and parentid, i’ve replaced parentid to pageid of "Peripherals". element contains link to sub-pageid, textreference and texthelpreference, i’ve replaced all three fields. then need to modify IFR like i did in post Accessing Locked BIOS Menu Settings (14) because IFR works in real bios, amibcp fully ignore ifr. i specialy did not use amibcp v.5 to save edited bios because this program is overkill, it change/rebase/increase size of many modules, i dont accept this behavior " Can you help me with this Bios for to overcome any problems with switching between CSM and UEFI? reboot12 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 @Dietmar Maybe try rebuild bios image in Intel Flash Image Tool? In my bios for Intel Gen 8 I found this: I try your bios but errors in FIT: 16.0 r8 - Corrupted buffer detected. Invalid metadata CRC32 value. 16.1 r0 - Not found layout
Dietmar Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 @reboot12 Can you send me this Intel Flash Image Tool? I make a try also Dietmar
reboot12 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 OK, with your bios works CSMEV16.50.zip I make new image.bin with this settings: Try flash with FPT and check if possible enable CSM
Dietmar Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) Hi, I just test your bios image.bin. No changes compared with original Bios. Amisetupwriter tells Write Protected. And CSM is shown as disabled and Write Protected as enabled. No menu for CSM in Bios. I set before the jumper for CMOS. ru.efi tells the same. Dietmar Edited June 7, 2024 by Dietmar
reboot12 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) Probably you need also clean ME while apply this setting Do not lock Descriptor and OEM Configs. During the first start of the computer after flash new bios image.bin ME will configure settings [Guide] Clean Dumped Intel Engine (CS)ME/(CS)TXE Regions with Data Initialization 12TH & 13TH GEN_ME_CSME CLEAN PROCESS_MFIT VER v16. TheFighterJetDude Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) Hello, I used the April 17, 2023 x64 ACPI driver to install XP x64 on my Intel 9900K and ASUS Maximus XI Hero WiFi board, and I was able to install it fine, however I have a huge problem where basically every browser I use (with the exception of Internet Explorer) loads up fine, but then it goes really slow and even hangs. The only thing I could really think of is to disable hardware acceleration completely, but it still doesnt work. The browser will freeze, and I cannot type in anything within the browser or click on anything. I have tried Mypal, Serpent, Basilisk, older versions of Firefox, and Supermium, both 32 and 64 bit, and it is having issues on here and on other machines where I use the modded ACPI. I have even tried the April 6th one and a few others, and the machines where I was able to use the stock ACPI for XP x64 these same browsers worked completely fine, and even with the modded ACPI for x86 from around the same time does not seem to have this issue. Do you have any ideas as to how to fix this? Thanks Edited June 8, 2024 by TheFighterJetDude

Zdzichu Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 HI Guys. I am trying to install xp on my new computer msi z790 on hdd sata III drive. Till now without success. I have cd/dvd drive and atm about 20 isos with diferent drivers combination but still no luck. The farthest I've gotten with the installation is the point where I have to click enter to select the partition on which I would like to install the system, but the keyboard that was working suddenly doesn't work and I can't proceed. Coud you tell me where is the problem and how to solve it? in bios i have usb legacy enabled. Is it lack of drivers or my keyboard is not compatible?
Zdzichu Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 (edited) This integral xp is the one I use. edit: I just foud out that new version from june 24, is available so I will have to download it and check. Thank you for tip. Edited June 10, 2024 by Zdzichu

Or is this a only a post-Vista behavior?
