hello! Place all those folders (en, fr, etc.) and the files in the same directory at the root of the v4 IIS website

Now it returns me 500.

Global.asa is the cause of this error. Did you register fastdo.dll ?

I registered fastdo.dll by putting it in system32 or syswow64 and used the full file Path when registering the file becus i got the same error the file wasnt supported on 2008r2.

I rolled back my Win98SE/IE5.01 and Win98SE/IE5.01SP2 VMs to a pre-patched state and re-patched them from scratch. Both ended up failing on Security Update August 9, 2000: This update resolves the "Scriptlet Rendering" and "Frame Domain Verification" security vulnerabilities. in Internet Explorer.

Presumably a missing file? https://web.archive.org/web/20050207052024/http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/patch11/default.asp  has four q269368.exe files. Are they any use to you?

The file exists, and is downloaded, however when you try to run it manually it says it's not required, causing WU to say it wasn't installed. Based on its file version I suspect it's for IE 5.5 and not 5.01, however installing IE 5.5 SP0 gives the same message (and causes WU Restored to no longer work) and I'm unable to install IE 5.5 SP2 to test it.

hello everyone! i'm a china user. yesterday i tried to have Windows Update v3 check my win98 and win95 updates, but it froze at the dialog box "正在检查可用的更新程序..." and no results returned after several hours.

i want to collect winme's updates, but when i access Windows Update v3, it gives me a 404 error page.

another question is , when could Windows Update v4 be restored? that's the first Windows Update website i used.

Windows Update v3.1 do not support chinese. As for V4, it is online now ! http://v4.windowsupdaterestored.com

Expect bugs from the V4 site, it is not totally finished.

I can't register fastdo.dll in Windows Server 2008 R2 same as Ryujin9168

ah??? then, did the official v3 site support chinese?  if not, that's a pity! because mainstream support for win95 ended dec 31 2000 and for win98 ended jun 30 2002, which meant most non-security updates and hotfixes for 95/98 chinese versions were not available even at that time.

when i try to check for updates for win me & 98se, using v4 site, it returns an error page in a few seconds.

Here we go again... As I said many times before, we DO NOT HAVE all inventories, which means WE DO NOT HAVE THE FILES FOR ALL LANGUAGES. Chinese is being added, so please be patient. Use Windows 98 in english for now until we add the support for chinese.

And yes the official Windows Update v3 website supported Chinese.

Windows Update V4 is still work in progress, and we're working on that don't worry.
