Any ideas why taskbars on secondary monitors aren't hiding with recent updates installed? (the above version doesn't fix this problem)

It happens both on reboot or upon changing projection settings (Win + P) from "Second screen only" to "Extend". In my case I have a 3440x1440 primary + 1920x1080 secondary setup and it generally doesn't happen on my primary IIRC, but it happens almost always on the secondary and I have to right click -> go to SAB settings and toggle autohide off and on and then it's fixed until the next reboot/projection setting change. Is there any kind of logging/dumps I/we can send your way to potentially debug this?

For me it usually happens after waking up my monitors from sleep (on home machine this causes the primary monitor to connect back – when it goes to sleep, it disconnects from the PC, as if it was physically disconnected; on my work machine I'm not sure, it also seems to sometimes happen after waking up monitors from sleep, but none of those disconnect; installing the test version linked above immediately triggered the problem on both computers).

Both of my computers have 3 monitors, with centre being primary. Both are also set up with high contrast mode and use high DPI (one has all 3 monitors at 225%, the other one at 168%).

Sometimes the taskbar stops hiding on only one secondary monitor, but most often it stops hiding on both; also, sometimes when this happens, the taskbar becomes completely transparent, except for text and icons (it still receives mouse clicks in this state). The problem started with October update, and persists with KB5067036 (26200.7019).

Disabling and re-enabling auto-hide makes the problem go away for a while.

Just updated to v3.9.17. Well, what do you know! The File Explorer window now saves its size and position with Win10 Ribbon UI.

What a fantastic feature, thank you! @Tihiy is there any chance you can assign a keyboard shortcut to tab duplication, like ctrl+shift+d or else? I don't recall this hotkey being used in file explorer.

Wanted to say, Thanks that SAB 3.9.17 fixes the bug that was in recent prior versions, where in the Win 7 Start Menu, that if you have show Settings App items as a menu, the menu was empty.
I'm really glad to see it working again.

I'm having issues with display changes in WinPE. (PhoenixPE)

Screen resolution changes [[ChangeDisplaySettings()/ChangeDisplaySettingsEx()] + broadcast WM_DISPLAYCHANGE are no longer causing StartAllBack to update it's geometry/screen position.

I've attempted the usual tricks such as listening to WM_DISPLAYCHANGE in my own app and

• Broadcast WM_SETTINGSCHANGE with lParam "Display"
• Broadcast WM_TASKBARCREATED
• Sending SHAppBarMessage(ABM_WINDOWPOSCHANGED, abd) to Shell_TrayWnd
• Sending various combinations of RedrawWindow, InvalidateRect/UpdateWindow to Shell_TrayWnd
• Using SetWindowPos to bump Shell_TrayWnd 1px and back to trigger a recalc

All attempts other then manually recalculating the geometry and using SetWindowPos to move it myself have been unsuccessful in triggering StartAllBack to realign itself. Is there a different window or message I should send to inform it of the display change?

I've recently found a github repo that allows to enable classic windows switcher in the latest Win11 versions, but it seems it doesn't work well with SAB. Once I enable Windhawk mod from that repo and restart explorer, SAB taskbar stops working (while classic window switcher works normally), which is quite unfortunate. I wonder what's the reason behind it, and if it'd be somehow possible to fix; or maybe - to actually implement this as a feature in SAB to choose between the two windows switcher, that could be so cool to have! @Tihiy would it be technically possible to implement?
