StartAllBack for Windows 11

I don't have a keyboard with this key, but Win+Shift+F23 copilot hotkey works for me.

It's a copilot+ laptop - which is the "new standard" with neural processing hardware built-in - very new but will become more or less the standard.   The launch key is in the place where the right Ctrl key used to be.

The default copilot shortcut combination in windows 11 is Win+c (lower case) - I can confirm that this is also not working when SAB is running.   It is possible to assign Alt+spacebar as a shortcut for a minimal "quick view" version of copilot via copilot's settings - that shortcut does work but only for the much reduced version.   (there is obviously no physical "F23" key on a laptop - microsoft map that "win-shift-F23" to the dedicated Copilot+ key)

Copilot itself is definitely runable - it runs if started from its icon or in that cut-down version via the optional shortcut

I have tried every combination of SAB settings I could - enabling and disabling "classic enhanced" taskbar and start menu etc - I have to disable SAB to use the copilot+ shortcuts.

If it helps, I installed MS powertoys to check the key was being detected and the behaviour is definitely odd.   With SAB disabled, the Copilot+ plus key is correctly mapped as "win+shift+F23" but with SAB running, it is only sending F23, with neither of the qualifiers.

Updated to 3.9.12 today, which has in the changelog "Removed Click-to-do app where not applicable", my PC has no AI features, yet the Click to do is still there in the start menu.

Hello and good day to you, Tihiy!

Thank you for this utility / tool and for providing such wonderful support.

I am (registered user) here to ask about a feature available in windows 11 that StartAllBack does not appear to support.  This feature places an identifier (underline) under the taskbar icon for an application that is running.  When running in the background, the underline is shorter and when in foreground it is wide.  It is a visual cue to when pinned applications are already running.

Is this something you would be able to support in a future update?  Is there a feature within StartAllBack I could use to reproduce this behavior?

Best Regards and thanks again!

Try deleting %localappdata%\StartAllBack\Cache

Updated to 3.9.12 and deleted the cache - all working now.

Thank you :thumbup

Works on Windows 11 Home but for some reason does not work on Windows 11 Enterprise. Click to do is still on the start menu when using Windows 11 Enterprise.

Can you fix this behavior with the right click in Windows 11?

It doesn't happen with the classic start menu (but I must be one of the few who prefers the new one XD)

Hello! Firstly, thanks for this awesome software!

I am seeing a niggling issue with the display of jump list icons for Microsoft Terminal when SAB Enhanced Classic Taskbar is enabled. Comparison between with and without SAB Enhanced Classic Taskbar enabled respectively:

The "Windows PowerShell", "PowerShell" and "PowerShell (Admin)" profiles are using icons from the Terminal app's manifest (specified using ms-appx:// protocol path) - all the rest are using simple file system links to .ico or .png files - it seems to be these that are problematic and only the app's default icon is displayed rather than the custom icon specified in the profile. Here are two of the profile configurations showing the difference in the icon configurations resulting in this behaviour:

{
  "commandline": "%SystemRoot%\\System32\\cmd.exe /f:off /k c:\\cmdtools\\cmdprompt.cmd",
  "guid": "{0caa0dad-35be-5f56-a8ff-afceeeaa6101}",
  "hidden": false,
  "icon": "C:\\CmdTools\\clink\\clink_purple.ico",
  "name": "Shell"
},
{
  "colorScheme": "Campbell Admin",
  "commandline": "\"C:\\Program Files\\PowerShell\\7\\pwsh.exe\" -NoLogo -NoExit -f c:\\cmdtools\\pwsh_prompt.ps1",
  "elevate": true,
  "guid": "{1b06313f-f69d-4627-9e4c-5cf543917c87}",
  "hidden": false,
  "icon": "ms-appx:///ProfileIcons/pwsh.png",
  "name": "PowerShell (Admin)",
  "startingDirectory": "%USERPROFILE%"
}

Seeing this across multiple PCs. Just in case, I did try deleting SAB's cache as well as the recents custom destinations db/cache (%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations) but the issue persists when the caches are recreated.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks!
