Desperate to install/use Windows 7. Help

-When I open command prompt during win7 setup and do diskpart, list disk. Also the windows setup interface itself doesn't detect any 'other' disk drive, except itself (the live usb, which i cannot install on)

To do what?

If the USB driver is not active (one way or the other) an USB disk will NOT be seen (and will error out if booted with a 0x0000007b) and without a suitable driver for the  controller *any* Windows 7 or PE 3.x won't ever see the emmc.

You've got a point there. Well... next idea is "find a modded BIOS", which is much easier said than done, and eve then...

Well, diskpart.exe should list the disk first. WinNTSetup won't detect a disk too, don't try this currently.
Just curious: did you used a USB 2.0 port?

Next idea: integrate Intel USB 3.0 drivers to Windows 7 boot.wim, and use a USB 3.0 port.

Attach a USB drive to the USB 2.0 port.
Open windows 8 device manger, change view 'Devices per connection'.
Navigate to your USB drive.
Which parent devices are listed between the USB drive and the pci bus?
There is a details tab at device manger:
can you list the HardareID, CompatibleID and inf name of each device?

Just a quick question, do you think those drivers are compatible with Celeron N2840? Because that is what my laptop currently has. Also, iirc, my win7 setup cannot really detect any files, even if they are on the live usb. I will try in a few hours and report back

I'm a bit confused after reading everything; did you manage to install Windows 7?

If you have a hard time finding drivers; Offline driverpacks are a good gamble! Install software to mount the ISO (recommend WinCDEmu or something simple)
I would recommend downloading samsdrivers, after downloading put it on your flash drive! (It will need at least 11gb of space!) It may contain some Russian or certain text may come up funny after mounting it, but do not worry! Click snappy driver installer, then continue! Its your best bet if not using an online driverpack!

I tried the exact method you said and it seems like my Win7 setup environment didn't detect any removable media as usual (the pdf implies that it should), the only thing it detects (after clicking 'Browse') is X://Boot.

So I had an idea, and I slipstreamed the iaiosd driver into install.wim and re-made the live usb using standard procedures. Same results :(, still get the 'missing cd/dvd driver' error message and funnily when I browse in X://Boot, I couldn't find the driver files in system32 folder (even though I confirmed they were there in the mounting process).

I feel like the heart of the problem might be something to do with missing motherboard/chipset/whatever drivers, because the win7 setup environment can't detect any external devices at all (not even my wireless mouse/keyboard which works during BIOS menu lol).

Slipstream the drivers to boot.wim.

Is the wireless mouse/keyboard connected to a USB port?
Can you disable the xhci mode at UEFI/CSM, to disable USB 3.0 mode?

Try slipstream the USB 3.0 drivers too.

The drivers goes to boot.wim and to install.wim.

The real cuplrit can be the UEFI/CSM.

Why did you add drivers to install.wim initially?
The pdf describes to boot from boot.wim and load driver iaosd.sys manually. This failed.

If you integrate the driver to boot.wim, then the driver is loaded automatically.
May be a timing isssue. Then you don't have to load the driver manually.

Scroll back two days ago, there is a device manager picture: Intel USB 3.0 controller.
List the USB 3.0 controller HardwareID.

Does device manager list USB 3.0 controller, if no USB 3.0 port is used?
Did you connect the WD to USB 3.0 port or USB 2.0 port making the picture?
Make another picture, if a USB disk is connected to USB 2.0 only.

WD SES device is strange, parallel to WD My Passport.
Should not matter, but it's about booting: try another USB disks too.

-Because I thought it was sort of equivalent to 'browsing' for the driver file in win7 setup. You also mentioned something about boot.wim not needing to be modified in an earlier post, so I just made a guess.
