VAIO VPCEB3Z1E - it is possible to install Windows 2000 or XP?

Excellent!  In that case you can also use Fernando's 8.9 driver, which does list 3B29.  There is a very good chance it will work, and a slightly better chance that BWC's will work (if you can identify which one to use amongst his options).  Thanks, jaclaz.

Ok, I tried to use Fernando's driver (>Universal 32bit Intel MSM driver v8.9.8.1005 mod+signed by Fernando<) http://www.win-raid.com/t11f23-Modded-Intel-AHCI-and-RAID-Drivers-digitally-signed.html , https://mega.nz/#!9EdwyTqb!tQuVwykF82uZ1_fdiIofZlPYb6TpCdq7k2HSymCrhCg by adding driver for my 3B29 to Win2K install using nLite (I only used an option  of adding the driver) but when I'm trying to install Windows, I have 'iastor.sys is corrupted' one more time. I hope that's all what you need...

I have to presume that you need anyway blackwingcat's extended core.

OR you might need to press F5 (when you are prompted to press F6 ;)) and set the PC HAL as "standard" instead of ACPI, *like*:

Can you tell me more about "BWC's extended core"? What I can (should) exactly do?

To run W2k Pro in AHCI mode you should have the AHCI driver integrated to begin with (rather than trying to install it after the fact), and you need BWC's extended core integrated to do that.  I’ve used the unofficial W2k Pro packages for so long I forget to mention it.

Find one of tomasz86’s previous unofficial HFSLIP packages that have BWC’s extended core (and extended kernel) already integrated, and use that to create the OS install disc.  Maybe tomasz86 can help you get hold of that; for some reason I’m not finding it on his site, or maybe I’m just missing it.

Loosely, there are some drivers that work in both 2k and XP, while some - written for XP - while actually capable of running on 2k (because there are still using the same "driver model") do not work because they have a few dependencies on "core" system files functions (functions that are present in the XP version of those files but that are missing in the 2k ones).

Blackwingcat made some of his magic and managed to stuff those missing functions in the 2K files (of course modifying them).

You need some assistance from someone actually familiar with the specifics.

If you have time to experiment, you could try following this:
http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1823238.html

and create (at least temporarily) a "full fledged" BWC install media.

I can't download it from your site. And I already sent the message through Skype :)

Which site?

This one via Wayback Machine works fine here:

I do not think that you need any extended kernel files for the BlackWingCat's driver. I have not tested it on a real hardware but the driver files themselves are from 2009 and seem to be compatible with Windows 2000. As far as I can see, only the INF files have been modified, probably to add additional hardware IDs.

I have just tried to integrate the driver using nLite and there is indeed a problem in the very beginning:

1.png

which leads to the TXTSETUP.SIF file where the invalid line states:

= "Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller"

After removing the line the installer seems to work fine though :).

My test configuration was just my HFSLIP2000-FullPack with all the official updates and hotfixes slipstreamed but without any unofficial kernel extensions.

Which plainly means that you either did not reproduce a comparable environment or that the OP lied :w00t: as he had NO such issue BUT a "iastor.sys is corrupted" error after nlite processing gave him no error.

Not explicitly and EXACTLY specifying WHICH driver you used (just like the OP that also failed at it) and having introduced the variation of a (also unspecified version/release) of your HFSLIP2000-FullPack makes the guessing game even more interesting :P.
