reduce windows 8.1 size

Hi.

 

I integrated update 1 to windows 8.1 Image file. but this work make increase size to (5.30GB). I want decrease image size to 4.3G but I don't know how can do it.

 

i search in google and find microsoft solution for reduce Image size but this way don't work for me and give an error. is there another way for reduce Image size?

which error do you get?

I used this command for clean components but after run give Error: 0xc1510114

Dism /Image:C:\mount /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

the error means this:

  ERROR_EA_FILE_CORRUPT                                          winerror.h# The extended attribute file on the mounted file system is corrupt.

You should ask a "friend" to get a proper 8.1 ISO with the november Update included. But don't ask here, this is not allowed. Google should help.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 directly from MS. Use Option 1.

Be aware it will take a while. (Yes, I've done it in an attempt to salvage a dead laptop MoBo.)

Fair warning, it creates ISO with  INSTALL.ESD and *not* INSTALL.WIM for a *single* Edition at-a-time .
