Hi guys :thumbup

I have a computer customer that is showing the above error code...

I have tested the hard drive and memory and not found any problems...

I can go into safety mode without any hiccups....

As soon as I try to go into standard Windows I get the blue screen...Always the ...D1 but variations of em008_64.11040.dat...

I can't see any direct problems in Device Manager

I have even tried to turn off all non Windows Services and then reboot....but still the BSOD....

I am not a wiz att looking at dump files and wondered if I can try anything else before taking that road?

Thanks as Always!

Well, post the FULL error, AND the specifications of BOTH the OS (I presume Windows 7 and have to guess that it is a 64 bit version of it) AND of the hardware, SPECIFIC make/model, etc.

Usually that error is connected to EITHER a "bad" device driver OR the one or the other Antivirus (but of course it may be a defective peripheral, like - say - the network card or the video card).

Until you provide the needed, basic, info and details, as per Standard Litany:

Hi guys!

Thanks...but I seem to have found the problem....

I started disconnecting everything connected to the motherboard...

I remembered some time back I had a strange BSOD problem and like this one..harddrive ok, memory ok, but not cdrom. the cdrom on this computer is connected via IDE.

As soon as I disconnected that I could get into Windows again....really weird...

I have only ever had such a problem once before and I only found that by process of elimination...

I am installing a new SATA one.

Thanks for coming by!
