HarryTri
I noticed that on Windows 8 when you place the cursor on a folder the displayed size doesn't include the hidden files/folders. Does anyone know a way to change this?
bphlpt
That is the same way it works on Win7 as well, so at least MS is being consistent. The "hover" value does not include hidden files and folders, but I believe that right-click > properties does.Cheers and Regards
HarryTri
Yes it does, I just wondered if there is a way to avoid doing it.
NoelC
What's really funky is that even if you show Hidden Items, the "hover summary" will STILL exclude hidden items.-Noel
jaclaz
As usual, a semi-random idea What if one creates a folder, say "fixstupidwindowsmath" and puts in it hardlinks (visible) to the hidden files? Can a hardlink be visible and link to a hidden file? Will it be "counted"? jaclaz Edited February 21, 2014 by jaclaz
