Gah, the Shine theme won't be ported to win8/8.1 it seems (see author comment, currently page 3). Any chance someone could adopt that theme? I had a version that worked for 8.1... but 8.1.1 broke the context menu on the start screen.

Gimme 5min to port it, just is a matter of importing and exporting in WSB

 

Edit: WSB seems to give trouble with importing it D:

Anyway I just ported Wave to 8, just have to fix some last details and then I'll post it on my dA.

It's a conspiracy!

 

Yeah, Grim did, but it only worked on win8, and had some problems like text on explorer frames not being centered, and it being black (i need white for dark backgrounds). Did not want to bother him cause it was a purely unofficial port, but now that it's officially abandoned...

I Feel your pain Windows 8 was a heck easier to Port over that 8.1 especially when working with the protected system files..

I've never used it, but doesn't Rainmeter provide that kind of capability?  Have you tried that?

 

EDIT:  Never mind.  We were talking about different sidebars.

@DosProbie : Are you talking about the background of those sidebars ??? If it's true, it may be an error in custom UIFILE stored in your shellstyle.dll. You can try to rebuild it and retry your visual style

Edit: With OldNewExplorer running Side and Top bars are enabled.

Ok, got it working now! As soon as I reinstalled OldNewExplorer the sidebars showed up again, Does anyone know what Files are patched with it?
