It worked fine for me (transparent and blur) but while running, trying to go into StartIsBack properties caused an error but let me continue anyway. Then when I disabled menu and taskbar transparency, those two looked fine but it turned off for all other apps and windows.

Works, but my windows are barely transparent. What reg setting and where to adjust level of transparency now. Reg setting from before have no effect

Registry settings are still the same (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ etc.). However, this version uses Direct3D mode as default so I recommend not to use GlassTransparency settings at all (either delete it from registry or set it to zero) else it will interfere with default DWM colorizations.

How exactly can I change the inactive window color? I tried messing with ColorizationColorInactive, but they are always black which looks ugly and StartIsBack loses its colorization.

Nevermind some leftover registry entries but the SIB thing still applies.

And yeah no more crashes on the 7 theme so far. Good job!

ColorizationColorInactive does nothing with SIB. I tried changing values, delete it, but SIB is still fully transparent, no blur and no color.

Turning off SIB's built-in transparency for itself and taskbar does nothing, too.

Ah, yeah. This is my problem - I completely disabled colorization for DX11 objects because I though it applies for taskbar only (because taskbar is colorized by different method now). I will try to fix it. This problem should not appear in D2D mode.

Glad to see this resolved. Another thing that might not be importnant, but when I start the loader it makes everything very dark and then leaves black artifacts on start button image and tray bar.

When I click the OK button everything is normal again, but I find it odd it does that.

yes, this is normal. The message dialog runs in the context of DWM message queue and therefore all messages (including colorization settings etc.) are blocked until the dialog is closed.

Hey, could you tell me what theme you are using? Thank you!

It's the Win7Theme that was discussed in the last pages

@bigmuscle Hmm.. can you make a script that will replace the explorer with that from windows 7? (x64)

I really need DWM disabled to use flash in Windows 8. I suppose I will have to do without Metro!
