submix8c Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) PowerISO FeaturesI don't use that one but I'd venture to say that you can create an ISO Image File from the CD, Remove the Existing Boot.img (or whatever the name), the re-add the REPLACEMENT one.1 - Extract the IMG from ISO using 7-Zip to somewhere2 - Open the IMG (saved somewhere) and extract files to modify (AUTOEXEC.BAT)3 - Edit/Modify the file (AUTOEXEC.BAT)4 - Download Trial Version of WinImage and install4a - Rename boot.img to boot.ima and Open with WinImage4b - Insert the "replacement" File (Autoexec.bat)4c - Save4* - note there's also a freeware Virtual Floppy that will Mount the Image, allowing direct replace - sadly, it only works on NT-type 32-bit (google "Virtual Floppy Drive 2.1") OR "IMDisk "(same OS')4A - OR just use a REAL Floppy4A1 - Format the Floppy under 98SE4A2 - Copy ALL files from Extracted IMG, then Overwrite the File (Autoexec.BAT)5 - Use PowerISO to replace the Boot Image5* - Note - there HAS to be a place to do that!
