erpdude8 Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 the final releases of the Win98fe service pack v2.58 will be delayed until at least sometime in August 2012 as I'm currently working on and testing out some unofficial patches for Win98se, 2000 & ME that I recently made and I won't be discussing about these "unofficial" patches in these forums.please wait a while longer 'til August for the final releases.

What if others could use those patches to help their system. I guess we are all known for something.

I really meant to say that I won't be discussing about these "unofficial" patches in these forums until after I release win98fe SP 2.58 final (doh!) my bad.Ok I have added Microsoft Management Console 1.2 to SP 3.4cool! the final release of 98FE SP 2.58 final is nearly ready. i'll need several days to test it on a win98fe computer. it'll be released sometime between Aug. 15 to Aug. 18 so just wait for an official announcment in this thread. arrowhead Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 What is the difference between the full and lite editions?
erpdude8 Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 What is the difference between the full and lite editions?more add-ons in the full edition (ex. DirectX, WMI, etc.) than in the lite edition.
PROBLEMCHYLD Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 @ erpdude8 If you register HNETWIZ.DLL from Internet Connection Sharing aka ICS from (WinXP) you'll get this
Nomen Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 The file ATL.DLL (3.0.3794.0 - KB973507 for Win2k - it's an ANSI version) was mentioned in the changelog section of post #1 of this thread.I am currently using version 3.00.8449 (73,785 bytes, Aug 29/2002) on my win98se system. Interestingly, I have another ATL.DLL also claiming to be 3.00.8449 (58,938 bytes, Feb 5 / 2002) that seems to be on the distribution CD of Norton System Works 2002. I also have another version (3.00.9782, 90,169 bytes, Feb 16 / 2004) - not sure where I got it.How do any of these files compare with ATL.DLL version 3.0.3794.0 contained within Unofficial Win98 FE SP version 2.58?
PROBLEMCHYLD Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 A dot, decimal, period or whatever tag you give it makes a difference in higher or lower versions. It's how one is able to distinguish. Your version has two decimal while 2000 has three. Also you can check the pe timestamp. Atl.dll is needed to Microsoft Management Console.
