onlyrasel Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I can't Install WinXP on my Compaq Presario CQ43-303AU Notebook PC. Which Sata Driver I need to slipstream. Please it's very urgent.
Ponch Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Run any decent hardware detection program (HWinfo32 or SIV) from the existing OS (if applicable) to see that. Most are portable and run from a PE as well.Your last thread was urgent as well.
submix8c Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Google reveals "FreeDos" initially installed.Could be an AMD chipset or an Intel chipset according to the manual. You either have to use a hardware detection tool (as Ponch said) or open it up and inspect it.Google "Compaq Presario CQ43-303AU" (with the quotes) and you'll see the Manuals listed (PDF's) and basic Specs (which says FreeDos).
onlyrasel Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Its called Dual Core 2nd Generation Processor. Thanks for your reply.
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Its called Dual Core 2nd Generation Processor. The chipset? I'm not too sure about that. You'll have to do more searching.

Ponch Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 You don't need basic specs, weight, dimensions, you need to find out what the SATA controller is. Does post #2 not display on your screen ?
Tripredacus Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Do you have an operating system on the notebook now?

Sp0iLedBrAt Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 If your hardware is the general VEN_1002&DEV_4391, cdob's link will do the trick.
cdob Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 the general VEN_1002&DEV_4391I don't use a A50M fusion. Does this match a A50M fusion?Currently driver supportsPCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4391&CC_0106PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4392&CC_0104PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4393&CC_0104PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4394&CC_0106PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7801&CC_0106PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7802&CC_0104PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7803&CC_0104PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&CC_0106However I doubt the RAID IDs at given machnie, a AHCI ID should match.
swain90 Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 (edited) Do you deffo need the driver or are you able to change from AHCI mode to "Compatability/IDE" Mode in the BIOS? Edited April 3, 2012 by swain90
