The idea of an ini file is to overwrite any existing values. Hence load ini file.A correct way was the program to remember the previous paths used BUT if a .ini file was loaded, it will overwrite the previous used values.

But I am guessing the compression thing wouldnt be super slow on an SSD and be worth the space saving on the SSD?
JFX Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Yes, wimboot/compact is all about space saving.In general you will not noticed the decompression that happens while accessing the files.In theory with a fast CPU and a very slow hard disk, you could even have a small speed gain. 1

JFX Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Hi commiethebeastie, Thanks for the report. WinNTSetup requires the XML information from a wimfile.A wimlib captured wim is missing most of them, so the wim file is not accepted. I added a workaround in version 3.8.5.5, please try again.

And also consider adding an option of selecting the edition by cmd. It always defaults to the first entry, which is either Home or Basic.Thank you.
