P.S: some users find difficulty when rt 7 lite installing only in C:\ I will change this settings and rt 7 lite can be installed in any partition and you can launch from that.

And those of us that have Win7 installed in drives/partitions other than C:\> are ready to test things when the updates/changes are made.

Trying to make a lite version of Win7 for my laptop, which has a light sensor to change the screen brightness.

Using the original DVD, the system will have the Light Sensor installed.

However my trimmed version of Win7 (no change to Driver section), the driver is missing.

Anyone has idea which components this Light Sensor driver is associated?

PS. I kept Adaptive Brightness as well

Was blown away by this program, got loads of things and a really nice looking GUI.

Does anyone know why i would no longer have send to desktop? I would need to use that as soon as i have installed i would need to create shortcuts from my backup drive. (Anybody also know how i could include that as a registry value?)

I did post some needed on 7customisers thread, if they dont get implemented you should prob look at a couple yourself.

Besides adding registry was good to see a post install program installer, should make an option for that to be silent too though!

More info on mouse overs would be truly beneficial too.

Was gutted that i could not change start menu fully like in pic, it also seems to be a little smaller than normal. Also some drivers still didnt install with your program either

Not sure about Razer drivers as i own Logitech mouse but ACPI and Nvidia drivers integrate just fine for me as do all my other drivers.

Actually i just remembered i can't just integrate Nvidia drivers in the regular fashion.

I must first install them and grab all files from "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_disp.inf_amd64_neutral_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Ive made about five different images with the same result. Ive tried different settings in each image and each time it asks for HDD drivers.

I guess I can probably help you as I also had same problem, If you are using a pen drive to install your trimmed OS then I would suggest you to change your pendrive. I would recommend kingston's data Traveler.

Folks:

If you happen to like IE9 as I do, you can integrate it with RT7 Lite by first running the downloaded IE9 installer. While it's running, going to /user/local/temp/ and find the extracted .msu. You can miss it; it'll be in a folder named something like IE9xxxx and the windows installer will be about 33mb. Copy it to the directory of your choice for use later. Cancel the install. Load the .msu in the updates section of RT7 Lite, then make sure you have IE selected for installation in the right hand column of the components removal section. Works like a charm.

Hi!

I've finally customized windows 7 ultimate x64 to my liking, but there's one last bug that's keeping it from being "perfect." Attacthed, is my lastsession.inf. You see, the problem is that all my drivers install correctly post installation, but audio, no matter what, does not work. Even though the driver install is successful, the device manager will have an exclamation mark, and the toolbar will say no audio device installed.

My hardware specs are

i5 750

Gigabyte h55n-usb3

Gtx 460

1tb hdd

I hope that this is as simple as me having removed one too many items!

hey bensam, I noticed that if you load the lastsession.inf again, it'll correctly check everything on the left side, but it won't for the right side? Can you fix that?

If that same app is checked in right side then it will not be checked in left side. First preference will be for default features list. Next new build will be available tonight. I added some new options.

In my lastsession.inf, I removed internet explorer, but it's still checked on both the left and right side. I can't tell if it'll be removed or not unless I compile it and test in virtualbox.
