To use safely RT Se7en Lite you can choose "Custom settings" and it's needed to take care when you select "Advanced settings"!

If you've made errors, you must delete your folders where is located Windows (example: C:\Win7) and make an new Windows DVD copy, because RT Se7en Lite use the same modded folder - already customized - to create a new time your unattended DVD !

You can post your "Lastsession.inf"

(see inside: %systemdrive%\Program Files\RT 7 Lite\Preset\Lastsession(X).inf [example for x86]) and bensam56 and members can give you more help!

I will make an new "RT Se7en Lite French guide", and I tell you you when it's done!

with this current settings i cant install OFFICE 2010. i kept Japanese language ( as rt7lite says to keep) but even so i cant install the office... can someone tell me whats i removed wrong or disable?

i'm testing my builds in VirtualBox, and the office 2010 i install through DVD image loading inside the virtual box no command batch file...

myselfidem, i think you didnt understand my problem, i'm customizing a windows 7 build remove somethings and disabling others, and with my current settings i cant install office 2010 (full installation) i my build, office 2010 start installing but after some time the installation roll back and give a error message, but no code... and i'm trying to sort out which component or which service is essencial for office 2010 installation.

RT Se7en Lite copy only the exe files and no all others files and folders!

You can see that if you mount the image you have customized. The applications needs to be Standalone or SFX or RAR archive self extracting to be installed!

You can see the programs inside: "Mounted Folder\Windows\Setup\scripts" after mounting your image (install.wim)

No...he's not trying to integrate Office; he's saying that after installing Windows 7 from his RT7 Lite customized disc, he is not able to install Office...he has removed some crucial component for Office to install and is unsure what the prerequisites for Office are.

For RT7 Lite 1.5.0, I try severals times, but I don't know why some default features I want (Sidebar, ie8, ...) are already greyed, especially when I want to use a previous last session. It seems that, MAYBE, RT7 Lite saves a wrong Default Features list or I don't understand how this works. And even after I do a fresh customization, with Custom settings, the last session saves in RT7 folder, under Default Features, is different of what I choose.

If you use the same modded image already customized you have the same parameters!

You need to do an new copy Windows 7 inside your folder and launch a new time RT Se7en Lite!

Because if at first time IE8 has been removed you can't have IE8 another time! You need to make a fresh Windows 7 copy!

1) To Remove= it's needed to deselect a feature on the right pane and after select an component on left pane to remove it .

2) To Add= deselect an component on left pane to enable a feature (select) on right pane.

I will update the "RT Se7en Lite French guide" with more informations!

thats exactly my problem. and i have other problem i cant change the wallpaper the personalization panel gives only the solid colors as options... maybe something that i removed its causing this.

I don't know why it's working now and not before but =

* When I try severals times with the default temp folder with my username (C:\Users\ADSL-3\AppData\Local\RT7_TEMP\), it has never worked

* And the first time, I tried with "C:\RT7_TEMP" (myselfidem tips guide), it worked out of the box

So I'm really happy now, I could customize my Windows 7 DVD for my personnal use with this great tool !!!!!

now i have to solve my desktop background issue, all wallpapers are in the wallpaper folder but the utility that change background only show solid colors...
