KB909520 seems to be still available to download from http://catalog.update.microsoft.com

I encounter a problem when opening this catalog: blue background - no content. Is it necessary to have something special installed?

New file-checker for Windows XP:

2012-08-26
- Changed: Moved rvkroots.exe from HFSVCPACK to HF (you need HFSLIP 1.7.10 beta J v10 or newer)

Download: HFSLIPFC v.2012/05/04 with WindowsXP-update-list v.2012/08/26

For this change you need the new HFSLIP (v10):

AUG 26, 2012 - Added support for slipstreaming rvkroots.exe. Thx to Explorer09. Beta J v10

Download: HFSLIP 1.7.10 beta J v10

You need to use Internet Explorer. It works in IE6 on my computer.

That's my one-and-only browser (IE but version 8)... But no problem, I'll try it from another computer...

FYI - I tried IE9, both 32bit and 64bit versions, running on Win7 x64 and in both cases I got the screen

To use this Web site's full functionality, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.

Which is the same message I got when I tried using SRWare Iron. So the site must have a limited range of IE versions that it deems as acceptable.

Cheers and Regards

Hiho, sorry for the delay! Here's the update:

new file-checker for XP:

2012-09-20
- Added: KB2736233 (Security Advisory 2736233: ActiveX Kill Bits)
- Added: Malicious Software Removal Tool 4.12.6601.0
- Added: Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278
- Removed: KB2695962 (Security Advisory 2695962: ActiveX Kill Bits, replaced by KB2736233)
- Removed: Malicious Software Removal Tool 4.11.6500.0
- Removed: Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265

Download: HFSLIPFC v.2012/05/04 with WindowsXP-update-list v.2012/09/20

thx, mimo!!!

I already found a bug, though. When 2736233 is missing, the script asks for BOTH 2618451 AND 2726233 (both are Ax killbits). This is not right. It should only ask for the latest, which is 2736233.

Oh, another bug, the script expects MRT v 4.11.6601 instead of v4.12.6601

bye!
