SwedenXP Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 @blue4603 Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was if there is an update site like the one for win xp (http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=sv) where I can choose which of the updates (for win 7) that I want to dl and then dl them to the hdd and integrate them into my source with 7Customizer./SwedenXP B)
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @SwedenXPAs I said before there is a program called Windows Updates Downloader (WUD).In windows 7, I think you need to use the Windows update feature that comes with 7 like the one in Vista. There isn't any site similar to the XP one.Regards
MrJinje Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I will try the Updates and the Drivers when I have time...Is there a traditional updatesite at MS, besides the update function under Controlpanel-System and Security-Windows Update so I can choose which updates I want to dl and install via 7Customizer?No there is no traditional single site to download each update individually. Instead, there are a single web-page for each update, and you will have to track down each update separately. The only alternative is 3rd party application's that do this for you.Link is in my SIG for an Up-To-Date WUD Windows 7 Updates list. (all Critical/Optional updates through 11-10-2009). If you need the WUD, install it from jcarle's website.

MrJinje Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 @Blue4603I have a problem with my autounattended.xml. However my serial-key ist the right one, i get error messages and the whole installation stopped. I used the new version 0.2.1 ! You know the problem ?Sounds like the issue has not to do with Blue's app, but a mis-typed key in your AutoUnattend.xml. Wouldn't it be easier just to edit the XML manually ? Or do we need to re-run the app to change a key typo ?
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @pediloverCould you make sure that your key is typed right in autounattended.xml.@MrJinjeOr do we need to re-run the app to change a key typo ?No. you could directly go and edit autounattended.xml if you typed your a wrong key.Regards
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @pediloverI found the problem. I will fix it in the next release.Regards

dcolpitts Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Interesting app you have here... I'd like to see two additional elements added it to. First is disk partitioning, and second is join domain/workgroup (and the necessary credentials for the user that has join domain rights). Add those, and you'd have a pretty darn good app that would do probably about 95% of what System Admins require the overly complex WAIK for.dcc
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @ajdeeYes you marked the Debug mode.@dcolpittsThanks for the suggestions. It might be implemented in future releases.Regards
