MagicAndre1981 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 that´s the reason, why i asked. i think somehow you have to extract the SP2.exe to integrate the result as a hotfix and maybe also a language file. i tried it with winrar but that didn´t work.this DOESN'T WORK!You have to to it with the reverse Integration method:http://www.winbeta.org/comments.php?catid=1&id=9536First install the Sp1, next install the Sp2 and then sysprep and capture it into a new Install.wim!
hclarkjr Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 MagicAndre1981, any chance somebody else will make utility to integrate service pack 2? as it looks like nuhi is not coming back

georgeasch Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 as it looks like nuhi is not coming backnuhi never said that he is not coming back. he only said that he has nothing to say at the moment because he is very busy with a fulltime job. so we only have to be patient. nothing else!
hclarkjr Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 i never said that nuhi said he was not coming back. that is my opinion about it. i am hoping somebody else comes out with a slipstreaming utility
steven4554 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Just a guess, but i think the reason why he doesn't have time now, is because he has been hired by Microsoft. They obviously liked his programs.
erpdude8 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) Now SP2 RTM is finally released and i would like to know how to extract and slipstream it into my Vista because Microsoft said it will be possible with SP2 when SP1 was released.Windows Vista SP2 got RTMed at lastWAVE 0 (english, japanese, spanish, german and french)BUILD: 6002.18005.090410-1830FILE: Windows6.0-KB948465-X64.exeSIZE: 605,410,472 bytesCRC32: 1737E14DMD5: A3BCB1FFDB366397FA5FAB0898EB098DSHA-1: BE8D74ADC029FA7350FC1F0D32BEF853C0519A92--------------------------------------------------------------------------BUILD: 6002.18005.090410-1830FILE: Windows6.0-KB948465-X86.exeSIZE: 365,230,920 bytesCRC32: 3368C777MD5: C9394FD32DB15619328AF4FF0315750ASHA-1: 106C0484D7449CC4B70353C21D0C0D63E4BA66C3Wave 0 of Vista SP2 RTM (5 language edition) was posted on the MSDN Subscription and Technet Subscription downloads pages in the afternoon of April 30 as I've looked myself. cluberti Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 If you aren't afraid of a VM and making a WinPE disc, it's pretty easy to do it. First, you'll need the Vista SP1 AIK, the SP2 installation media, and a VM with a 40GB hard disk (Hyper-v, Virtual PC, VMWare, etc - doesn't matter how you do it). There's a post with pictures here by a user named "bjfrog" that shows you how to do it. Once you've got the install.wim with SP2, extract your Vista DVD to a folder on your machine, replace the \sources\install.wim with the new SP2 install.wim, and use oscdimg to make a new ISO you can then burn.
erpdude8 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 It looks like Windows Vista Service Pack 2 could be available to the public for download on May 26 as someone mentioned in one of the comments posted on this page:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335036.aspx

ner Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) 64 version is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=enWindows Vista introduces a breakthrough user experience and is designed to help you feel confident in your ability to view, find, and organize information and to control your computing experience. The visual sophistication of Windows Vista helps streamline your computing experience by refining common window elements so you can better focus on the content on the screen rather than on how to access it. The desktop experience is more informative, intuitive, and helpful. And new tools bring better clarity to the information on your computer, so you can see what your files contain without opening them, find applications and files instantly, navigate efficiently among open windows, and use wizards and dialog boxes more confidently.
