I am using USB to TTL:http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=200360064779I get nothing from HyperTerminal when connected to PCB. I have checked all connections and tried rearranging them.Loopback works fine.Find out if the adapter is powered from the USB side. If that's the case, you don't need to route power from the PSU. Instead, you'll have to connect as follows since the drive uses GND to communicate with the adapter:Adap.VCC(5V+) <---> Not connected to anythingAdap.TX <---> Barracuda.RXAdap.RX <---> Barracuda.TXAdap.GND <---> Barracuda.GNDConnect the drive to the PSU like normal. SPIN ERROR was from no contact on the PCB. When I had the same problem, I unscrewed the screws a tiny bit, then tightened it back down.
