@blackwingcat

I'm trying to run SSD life but get this:

WbmeJ.jpg

Have you got any idea what the problem is? There's no such a function in MSVCRT.DLL.

Which edition did you use ?

Trial ? Free version ? Product version ? 2.3.0.50 ?

I've tested again with 2.3.0.50 and it happens with both Free and Trial.

Hello, i got a software, the freeware Simple watcher, folder monitoring:

http://www.simplewatcher.ru/en/

It reports a dependancy error, when clicking ont the "folder" browsing button:

Error is a msgbox with:

---------------------------SimpleWatcher.exe - Entry Point Not Found

---------------------------

The procedure entry point BaseDumpAppcompatCache could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

I've found out a reference to this API in this thread. Do you think this issue can be fixed?

Currently working on a windows 2000 server, french version.

Thanks

On my environment simple watcher seems to works without problem.

and it does not use BaseDumpAppcompatCache.

Plz check user environment other reason with dependency walker.

Did you use XP's APPHELP.dll?

You must delete it.

Hmmm, yes thank you i had XP apphelp.dll english version, dont remember why. Deleting this dll removed the error popup when browsing into simplewatcher.exe.

I'm still investigating a .net framework dependency error. (FileNotFound Exception). It happens when when changing a file or directory into the monitored directory.

EDIT:

I managed to fully make it work by adding the required .net Framework assemblies into the GAC. I used the tool Gacview to install the assemblies copied from a windows 2003 (with .net framework 3.5 installed).

Is there a dedicated tool such as dependency walker for the .net framework dependency issues?

Thank you for your help.

I now you are not techinally supporting this tool anymore, but I was hoping to get an update to the fcwin2k.exe tool that would allow us to remap any dll to a new name.

It would also be nice if we could do remappings from the command line as it would make it easier to do many files at once. If I had access to the source code, I would do it myself.

The dll I have a problem with currently is GDI32.dll. I was trying to use this tool (fcwin2k.exe) to get a Windows 7 app to work on XP, but I got stuck there.

If you have any other suggestions that could be helpful, I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Shaggee.
