breadandbubbles
i made a dvd a few yeears ago of a fishing trip. i used Nerovision to turn a few avi. files into a dvd. now the original files are lost, and all i have is the dvd. i wanted to send jsut one chapter, or episode, i guess? is there a way i can extract each of the episodes or chapters you see in the menu into its own avi. file. theyre not copy protected or anything, i dont know if that matters.ive googled all around, and installed a few safe trials of "dvd to avi." software things, but i dont think theyre doing what id like. maybe im not using them right?anyone have a favourite?so far i have dvdfab, and magic converter. Sternn
I use Tunebite to convert audio and video files and I saw that it can convert dvd format into avi format, but I've never tried.

Jeremy
I use a combination of AnyDVD, DVD Shrink, and AutoGK to make my AVI files. I second that when I ever want to make an AVI but I prefer full quality.I try to start with 720p and if not I try for DVD.
Nick_White
The simplest way is Handbrake (freeware).
