oranzie Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 is it possible, to make one cd \ dvd \ image, to include all of the software + options + drivers + whatever i need , that would work on serval pc's ?i.e to use a certian driver for a certian pc (considering i have all the drivers in hand).is it possible ?and if so ...how ?! at the moment i use 8 diffrent Images, would be great to make them one.thanks in advance !
ricktendo Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 You can use Driverpacks, they should have ALL the drivers you need http://driverpacks.net/
oranzie Posted January 2, 2008 Author Posted January 2, 2008 thanks for the quick answer, so i can just make an unattended dvd, that includes all the drivers, and all the software n stuff i want, if so, can i somehow slipstream a Certificate & DOMAIN ?or i have to build it off .cmd \ vbs files?
spitf1r3 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Power Packer might be useful. It allows to create one system with more than one winnt.sif...Hope it helps:)
oranzie Posted January 3, 2008 Author Posted January 3, 2008 i was thinking mybe some kind of "sysprep" , to make one image to load on diffrent computers.but when i did that, i got resets (no windows xp window even), what can i do ?
spitf1r3 Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 (edited) What do you mean by that?A standard Windows CD loads on different PC..You mean, you want to have all drivers, or have one unattended disc with serials for all the computers you use? Then PowerPacker should be enough. You might also want to use nLite. Oleg_II Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 For XP and Win2k3 you may prepare one universal image with all needed programs installed and deploy it on any computer (different HAL types and all kind of hard disk controllers) with OfflineSysPrep. You may also add all kind of other drivers to the system before creating image. For example, place them all in on folder Drivers on C: All registrations can be done during mini-setup and after it (for programs).
miko29 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 This might a stupid question but I'm new to sysprep. What version of Windows XP(VLK or the one that customer buys) should I use to create a standard image?I'm trying to create standard image the will be deployed on customers machines?Thank you,
IcemanND Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Depends upon the license the customer will have.Or the license your school has.
