jvidal Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) Hi, I just dloaded the latest swflash.cab and it's different from previous versions, this one includes a .inf file and an executable called "FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.EXE" instead of an .inf file, flash9x.ocx and flashutil9x.exe (where 'x' is the revision )BTW, that FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.EXE is the same as the install_flash_player_active_x.exe file, dloadable from adobeIs this still slipstreamable or does hfslip need modifications to work with this?bye! jvidal Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Thanks for answering, I hope you can support this in the near future.Bye!
Tomcat76 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 It's a Nullsoft installer... I repacked it. You can download it here.Contents:Flash9e.ocxFlashUtil9e.exeswflash.infTrying to work with the updated package from Adobe, I finally figured out the reason why registration of the OCX fails with the recent versions: the FlashUtil*.exe needs to be present alongside the OCX for that. The next version of HFSLIP will slipstream this file too.swflash.inf registers the OCX and adds a few other necessary registry changes.
jvidal Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) Thanks, that was fast!Unfortunately, I can't test it, can't dload the file, I get an error "IPS error" Edit: strike that, after a few attempts, I was able to dload the file! Edited December 5, 2007 by jvidal

jvidal Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 nice! I'll try it when it's time to slipstream new HFs...thx!

Tomcat76 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Could there be some localized versions? I tested this (English) package on XPSP2 English and XPSP2 Dutch and it's working fine with both. You can use the original Adobe swflash.cab in HFCABS if you're using the latest test release, or extract FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.exe from the original swflash.cab into HFSVCPACK using any version of HFSLIP. This doesn't really slipstream it but at least it works.Adobe's swflash.cab
0d14r3 Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Hi, Tomcat76I have the same problem, after I have installed a hfslipped version of Winxp, and I try to connect to a website with a flash object, ie6 shows a bar that ask if I want to install Flash PlayerI used your repacked SWFLASH with my Windows sp2 br.0d

eryen Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 (edited) Flash9e.ocx not registered during setup so flash files not runing.Manuel register of flash9e.ocx solves running of swf files. But adobe.com still says u have to install Flash ActiveX. :?Maybe solution can be here.http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flash...t/ultrashim.cabFlash downloads it and installs to "\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Download"and register download.dll. "Flash Player Installer"After copy these files to location and register download.dll adobe.com work perfect. Edited December 26, 2007 by eryen
Tomcat76 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Does the problem persist if you use the original swflash.cab with the latest test release of HFSLIP?
eryen Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 (edited) Repacked swflash.cab file with 1.7.2. "I dont like SVCPACK metod."Maybe you can add support for ultrashim.cab in next releases for full splitstream of flash activexdownload.dll not depents on flash9e.ocx but adobe wants it.
