Updated the XP Sidebar and VAIO XP AddOns Sidebar and VAIO changes are minor, removed Wireless gadget and added Black CPU Meter and I removed WLan API hotfix from the VAIO addon for RVM UpdatePack users Links are in my Signature

What are .Gadget files? If it's something that requires Vista, then I won't be able to add support for it anytime soon. If it's something I can test out under XP, then I'll at least give it a shot. Will UniExtract add the extract to subdir context for .Gadget files? This would be awesome for VAIO and the Vista Sidebar users on XP and 2k3

It already works with VAIO and XP or 2k3, but you need a valid Vista Ultimate serial. But so far I haven't gotten it to work.Read the documentation @prx984 the RTM games don't work with VAIO b2 but I think will with b3

OK... Use 7zip to uncompress the .Gadget file to a sub folder, then copy it to the Gadgets or Shared Gadgets folder and add .Gadget to the end of the extracted gadget folder name

Install IE7 and WMP11 then tell me if that helped Also try dragging and dropping wlsrvc.dll and sbdrop.dll into the regsvr32.exe executable in the same folder (tell me if they registered successfully)

Use nLite and add the installer you download from Microsoft Update and simply add it as a hotfix in the hotfix tab These are IE7 filenames for XP and its Recent Software Update... IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe

Yo Shaky I made a Windows Defender WinRAR sfx installer that can be updated VIA a CMD file... Maybe you can make something like it but for your WLM installer... It can grab the Patched Files and Add them to the EXE Link

You don't have to install the old one, Just go to wincert and download the Skin Patches I attached to My Post I included 9 different Skins in 2 Variations for a total of 18 Skin Choices and a Virgin sidebar.exe for skin patching, then you just copy and overwrite the old sidebar.exe in %ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar then you patch and run vista executable and your skin and vaio patched sidebar is done You can also repack your preferred skin back into the addon, just make sure its been skin and vaio patched before you repack it into sidebar.cab in my addon Keep applying and trying skin patches to the sidebar.exe untill you find one you like (I like the None skin) You might have to register @WinCert to view and download the atachment, I tried ataching it to the post here above but only 200K is allowed
