  1. Well then it should work!!! PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_0571 ==> VIA miniport driver (viadsk.sys) PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 ==> VIA RAID driver (viamraid.sys) So it *SHOULD* be working, unless you've removed the miniport driver... EDIT:If you haven't removed the miniport driver, please try this: add this to your txtsetup.sif: [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149&SUBSYS_59011462 = "viamraid"
  2. I really like ZoneAlarm! It's a all-in-one: -Firewall (don't use it, but who cares...) -Anti-Virus (works very well, and FAST, scanned 120 gigs of data in 30 mins...) -IM security (even for MirandaIM) -also scans mail (even ThunderBird support!)
  3. Hi, I've been searching this for 2 days now: how can I install iTunes without installing the QuickTime crap? I'm using QuickTimeAlternative anyway! Google came up with nothing but crap... Trying switches didn't help either. And documentation about it... none at all! Any ideas? Greetz, Bâshrat the Sneaky
  4. same problem and same hardware here edit: i've seen the new driver pack i'll feedback my results ASAP This is indeed fixed by the new DriverPack! How? By adding CC strings. (check out the txtsetup.sif file for detailed info)
  5. Choakem, are you sure ther wasn't any other deviceID listed? Please run devcon again with these switches: devcon resources PCI\VEN_1106* and tell me if you find anything! EDIT: why am I asking this? Because your controller (VT 6420) isn't listed in the inf file... Although the driver should include it, according to the website. (perhaps it's named "VIA SATA RAID Controller") And I don't think SCSI ID's are well recognised, I want to add the PCI ID to be certain!
  6. According to the information on Dell's website, the Dell Precision Workstation 370 is built with a 915/925x chipset, right? (intel EM64T) So I assume you downloaded the right drivers? These ones?
  7. Well I think it should work then ! Please test it and post your results or send me an e-mail, so I can update the DriverPack!
  8. this was what I needed! I'll take a look at it now.
  9. Please specify on what controller these thingies are working! It's the controller that matters, not the attached hard disks! P.S.: this DeviceID isn't in the txtsetup.sif additions! This explains why it isn't working...
  10. Oh forgot to ask this one: did you copy HPUATA.SYS to your I386 folder??? Because if you haven't, it's very normal it didn't work! (when you've added those entries to your txtsetup.sif, setup assumes those files are present in the I386 folder!)
  11. Okay, but what's the deviceID of that VIA controller on the MSI Neo2 FISR? I don't know if you saw it, but there are identical deviceID's in the fasttx2k and the ulsata driver.... Please try this: Replace "PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3373" by "PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3373&SUBSYS_702E1462" in your txtsetup.sif!
  12. 1. problem with Promise controller==> PLEASE SEND ME YOUR DEVICEID!!!!!!!!!! 2. problem with VIA SATA RAID controller ==> fixed Greetz, Bâshrat the Sneaky
  13. ... should be : Otherwise the two files don't get compressed and copied to \i386. I just changed these two lines. Is it enough to fix it ? Thank you! Fixed that error, the new download is available and is 8 bytes smaller I haven't changed the changelog nor mentioned it anywhere but here because it wasn't downloaded alot _yet_. (80 downloads or so) If you've downloaded DP MassStorage before this post was made (before 9.30 AM GMT) you should redownload it! Above bug is fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience... (I'm really starting to look over these smaller errors.. )
  14. UPDATED 15th September 2004 All info: see first page.
  15. Are there any remarks left on the installation instructions? Please let me know your suggestions! And about these separate threads... that would be quite impossible I think! Then I'd have to start another subforum... I'll ask the Admin's about this... The update is almost complete!
  16. D-Link was already on the list, Syntax is added
  17. Doesn't it work WITHOUT any drivers? (those devices SHOULD be plug & play IMO)
  18. I don't know... I think you better ask this last question of yours in the 'Unattended Windows" subforum!
  19. I think many drivers are added, but there isn't a list of new/updated drivers available I'm afraid... (at least my queries on google didn't come up with anything...)
  20. Nope, nothing special about it. (normally...) Which are those two brands? If they aren't in the list yet, I'll add them.
  21. HOW are you copying to documents and settings? Are you using a folder with that name? (that would be copying a folder named 'Documents and Settings'...???) Because if you're doing as I suggest you're copying, then I'm afraid that might not be working properly... Please use the %userprofile% variable. (this points to X:\Documents and Settings\your_username) What/why exactly are you trying to copy to documents and settings?
  22. Is TCPIP.sys language dependant?
  23. ...and all this is already included in DriverPack MassStorage! You can find it in the stickies of this subforum!
  24. That driver is already included - in fact already from the first release... But as RyanVM said, the reason why everything isn't working properly is that I added the AMD64 drivers... My mistake This will be fixed in the next release (today)
