1. Extract the setup.exe and there WILL be a setup.exe that can be run with a setup.iss!
2. Please clarify a bit more: did you follow the guide? (did you extract it?)
3. Please clarify what you are talking about. To everyone I haven't had much luck today... Normally I would have been able to start my works at 10-14 h... But my computer had to crash , just TODAY.... And to make the picture even prudier: Windows couldn't get installed, errors all the time... (BSOD, can't copy file, freeze) Finally I got it to work. (by cleaning the cd several times ) At least I haven't lost any files this time (and my automatic restore scripts are getting fine-tuned ) But I think I'll still be able to do two driverpacks...
4. Now, about DrvTEMP directory... Shall I create that directory in my $OEM$ folders and extract the contents of AudioUtl folder in it or not? Can I change the path to AudioUtl.exe? I read, in method n°1 (GUIRunOnce) that it can't be changed... Any help? Thanks, Andrea Can you wait one day? I'll post the how-to tomorrow, I know it's not perfect... (and not clear at all... )
5. If nothing goes wrong (IRL), I should be able to update ALL packs (or at least LAN/MassStorage) this weekend (within 24/48 h)
6. Google is your friend! First use google, THEN come and ask again. Just asking because of being lazy isn't appreciated here.
7. @big poppa pump: I agree with trainee. Please disconnect (not remove!) the other RAID array when installing Windows. After installing re-connect the cables. There's a good chance it will work then. (or just try to change your boot order).
8. Well the control panel utlity got installed automaticaly in dutch (or flemish ?) on Windows XP SP2 in french. I didn't do anything either. I found the drivers like that. Strange, because the drivers are universal...
9. OK, I think it's time to clarify why I stickied this topic. With this method you don't have to change alot, IF it would be working, which it isn't... Personally I thought this method is easier than Pyron's method. But now it seems that, even after several times of modifying the files, Serialzs couldn't manage to get it to work. Also I'd want to apologize to Pyron and to everyone of this board that I stickied it BEFORE it was tested decently: it was only tested on Serialzs computer... So why did I prefer this one: because it's UNIFORM (again: if it was working). With Pyron's method you still have to point to EACH compressed file to extract it. On the other side this is an advantage, because you can choose your own folder structure (you're not stuck with a fixed folder). If I forgot to say something, please tell me. Unstickied this topic. (I may reconsider if it _finally_ gets to work) Take a look in Pyron's topic. (which seemed to be easier and certainly better after all...) Thanks for your understanding, Bâshrat the Sneaky, Device Drivers forum Moderator
10. OK, thanks!!!! Will be in the next update! (Expect updates for ALL driverpacks very soon!)
11. @Lucius Snow: huh? I'll take a look at it but I haven't set ANYTHING to Dutch... @swgreed: ok thanks
12.
I have been using this for past few months and never once had a problem. Why would I start having problems all of a sudden?
dunno then... Just try it...
13. 1. Take a look at the structure of my DP LAN, but take notice of 2. 2. I don't know how you can silently install drivers in Win98, prolly quite the same, but I have no experience with unattended Win98...
14. I see several errors in your winnnt.sif: 1.
;SetupMgrTag [Data]
2.
UnattendMode=FullUnattend
3.
[GuiUnattended]    AdminPassword=god
4.
[GuiRunOnce]    Command0=%systemdrive%\apps\bootlogo.cmd
Hope this helps.... (I compared to my winnt.sif, which is working)
15. Please use the Search function!!! It's been covered before..
16. For plug & play devices: 1. download devcon (google is your friend) 2. run > cmd > devcon rescan
17. One of the main advantages of this program, is ('would be' might be better?) that you don't have to enter the OemPnPDriversPath... OK, admitted this is very handy when you don't mind using it, but still... I hope Serialzs gets it to work soon....
18. At last, fixed it myself!!!!! It seems the problem was in the fact that not every attribute's value was between quotes.... Thx anyway
19. Hi there, I've translated the original offical Unattended Windows guide to Dutch. But now I've bought better webspace, and while I'm moving, I wanted to switch to validated HTML. Now I've got to work everything just fine, EXCEPT for ONE thingie... Below I've attached the file. All feedback is welcome! (CANT ATTACH THE FILE ) www.btsunattended.net/cantvalidate.txt See third post
20. **** yeah... But anyway - I wanna find the solution. CC is something like "class of device". For example, all videocards have CC_0300. OK, then I'll make a version with those CC's, we'll see if it work! (DP to be updated today!)
21. Can you read my mind? I'm really thinking of doing this!! Testing it out. But as you say, I don't know yet if I can add multiple drivers, which IS a requirement....
22. Well, the first time I was installing Windows on a 3112r controller (about 1 year ago, so older drivers) it just worked fine when using F6. (no unattended yet ) But ever since I haven't installed it on the 3112r controller anymore... I guess I'll have to try again...
23. Probably your APU is _based_ on a Realtek chip. So that's why it uses Realtek's drivers. I'll take a look at this problem... (is it a problem?)
