  1. Hi all - Celestial Fury I looked at your thread and using the massstorage pack and method 1, I had no luck whatsoever - Same misfortune as before - In an act of desperation I tried Method 2 and - Hey Presto! It detected my Sata drives first go! I have a few things to do before I reinstall my windows so before I do - Will the via miniport drivers screw with my DVD writer using the second method? If so - Can I simply remove the miniport folder from the compressed archive? Any insights - much appreciated!
  2. Sorry for long dealy but I was busy - Yet again the new massstorage pack failed to recognise my raid/stat drives.I added the line [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149&SUBSYS_59011462 = "viamraid" Suggested by Bashrat and No - I havent removed the mini port driver - But reading the last couple of posts - Thats DEFINEITELY my next plan of action! I'll post my results later this evening or at latest tomorrow! Havent got time to do it now! Keep up the good work everyone! :-) Specially Bashrat! :-)
  3. Oh - In that case I must be doing something wrong! I''ll start from scratch - with the new massstorage pack and I'll let you know what happens!! Should have reply in an hour!
  4. Hehhehe Bâshrat the Sneaky - Your a gentleman!

  8. iSmart - Hi I know that those 3 files SHOULD work on my motherboard but they dont! Any ideas why not? As I said - The installation procedure contains a LOT more raid drivers after I used the massstorage pack and yet my raid still isnt supported! There is no need for me to press f6 is there? I have no floppy anyway! It SHOULD work and yet it isnt! Anyone any ideas why not?
  9. Have a question - I have removed the culptit from the new beta pack and no longer get an error message when attempting to install windows however I STILL have no support for my viamraid.sys MSI KT6 motherboard! I thought this driver pack supported it? Did I do something wrong? A lot of new raid drivers were detected but not the one I wanted! I know i can add it instead of the driverpack but my aim is still as a generic copy of XP as I can! Is this raid/sata supported? Its certainly in the driverpack but alas it doesnt work Anyhow - Any suggestions from you guys would be appreciated - And I still think that a seperate posting for each version makes sense! After all its not really that much extra work - hardly any by comparison to the real issues! Anyway - Its 3:15 in the morning here - I must goto bed!
  10. This post is huge: A suggestion if you will - Would Bâshrat the Sneaky consider making a new post for EVERY version - It should makes things clearer and when A new BETA comes out like the last one which doesnt work then the post could be dedicated to it until it becomes an offically tested version and hence a new post for the new version. What you guys all think? P.S. To all that have contributed to this site - Many - many thanks! There are many like me that you have helped out!
  11. Forget my last post - Just read the latest in the massstorage page! This is my only question now.... Was the driverpack in the old version working for the MSI KT600 MB ??
  12. RyanVM : Thx for that - At least I know its not my fault! Any ideas how I can edit out the culprit till he releases the version or that said how long do you think it will be till next version is released? Diabolical82: I know I can do that but I'm trying to make a Universal Windows installation CD! I'm attempting to make a generic XP (not even unattended) CD! Was the driverpack in the old version working for the MSI KT600 MB ?? If so - Is there a link to it?
  13. I have a problem - 1st - Does the driverpack support this motherboard raid/sata yet? Its the vt6420/vt8237 floppy drivers I have installed the driverpack (I think succesfully) with the new beta pack and I get the following error messages:- the file S150sx8.sys is corrupted - press any key to continue - and setup ends! I have tried multile attempts from fresh but this keeps happening - I can post any relevant files just ask which ones you would like to see. I have tried an older driverpack and I dont get this error msg but it doesnt recognise my Raid without a floppy! Any help you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated!(I do however see a LOT more Raid drivers during setup) I am using WinXP Pro with SP2 slipstreamed into it! I used Nlite to do this with no other modifications - Would this cause a problem? Needless to say its driving me nutty!
