  1. maybe you're right on the RAID part, but it's still required to get Windows on there! (I also think you can only make the raid itself (eg 0/1/5/0+1) AFTER Windows is installed, but you have to install it on one of the disks (JBOD) and use the driver afterwards to be able to use a RAID method)
  2. Soon I think 1-2 weeks. (doing all I can!) I've got DP LAN errorless, want the same for DP MassStorage... MassStorage= SATA/PATA/SCSI/RAID controllers, so controllers for harddisks (=massstorage)
  3. @r0sWell: I've tested it myself, and I don't get ANY errors! Nor does anyone else I think... Please re-download the pack! (maybe file corruption...)
  4. that was exactly what i tried to say, but unless i tried adding the entries, like: files are not copied to the correct directories. please can you take me on the right path? Ehm... Then I have to rebuild that entire structure! Because I haven't updated it the last two updates... You can use The Rename! (=program) to easily copy all these filenames!
  5. Are you starting installation from the HDD??? Then you have to add the dosnet.inf entries!!!
  6. Wrong forum... I'll ask a SM/admin to move it.
  7. Well, I thought you'd have thought yourself of such an elementary prequisite... P.S.: Woohooow! Now I'm no longer the only one with stupid mistakes... :
  8. @rcordorica & battleangel3222: Are you guys sure that you can install it directly on a pre-set RAID setup? I'm not sure, never knew this thingie.. (not that much people use it...) @iSmart: OK thanks for the info, will remove it, expect it today/tomorrow. Please verify it again then! I was already thinking of adding the CC_0104 strings to the other SiI controllers! EDIT: Done! Although not enough to release an update... @r0sWell: huh??? I'll take a look at this!
  9. UPDATED 20th September 2004 All info: see first page. Here's the fix for the current problem with the nVidia Drivers: Remember, you'll have to replace your patched txtsetup.sif file with the original one!
  10. Another note to make: I'll make this week (from today till next monday) to the 'official debugging week' I'll update the pack every day except for Friday and maybe Thursday, if needed! Please post all the issues you're experiencing, and I'll help you ASAP!
  11. From now on I'll keep the "Current issues" on the first page! If you've got another issue to report do it like this: Thank you!
  12. hmmm it seems I've named the controllers wrong... I'll update the pack asap! (tuesday/wednessday)
  13. HUH ? THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!!!
  14. Check out the Device Drivers forum! There you can find several of my DriverPacks, that include drivers for virtually all controllers: -DriverPack LAN (100% working) -DriverPack MassStorage (some errors, if you aren't using 'exotic' controllers it will work fine) -DriverPack Sound (to be updated!!! will be online again soon!) For all other info check out the guide: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm
  15. You can set the max of memory that FireFox can use! I think 4096 KB is the minimum: browser.cache.memory.capacity 4096
  16. Is this an abstract example or do you really have those two controllers?
  17. Okay nice to know I helped you
  18. ONLY copy the HPUATA.SY_ to your I386 folder, not ANY subfolder! P.S.: yes, HPUATA.SY_, you should use makecab to compress it. (type makecab help in the console for more info!)
  19. http://warp2search.net/modules.php?name=Ne...ticle&sid=19981 Hmmm the Audigy 2 ZS drivers should work for those Live! and other cards anyway! Because the same DeviceID's are inthere.... (in fact the inf files were almost identical...) But I'll compare them to verify any differences!
  20. I think you should remove the miniport driver!!! And if it works so (it did work for Celestial Fury!) please let me know, so I can remove it in the next update!
  21. EDIT: oooops I misunderstood you... Then I also think it's an error with building the CD... Did you use the CDimage tool? P.S.: I've edited the topic title to a better description!==> NOT: why doesn't it work.. :s
  22. Huh? That's really strange... You're the only one who's getting that aec6280 error... Maybe an error in your CD? Please take these two steps: 1. rebuild your iso 2. reburn your CD And please post the results!
  23. @Choakem: please remove the VIA Miniport driver and all its entries in txtsetup.sif! Celestial Fury got it working without them, in fact those drivers made it not work! (as iSmart suggested too)
  24. Yeah, all I did was remove the miniport folder - didnt modify anything else. A couple of posts up, you can see what I used in the txtsetup.sif. The deviceID you mentioned is used in it(for UlSata) and so is the other one (for fasttrack). I dont know that the REV_02 is for in the top UlSata line, but I kept it in and it worked fine Worked a charm. I used GreenMachines instructions for makecab to add the sy_ files to the i386 folder. Fury OK, then I'll remove that driver in the next release. Let's see if it will keep working for everyone...
  25. So all you did was removing the VIA MiniPort driver? Did you use the DeviceID I mentioned?
