Now we may have something if you tell me this: -is it same as it was on original cd or is it replaced by a broken version from driver.cab? Compare to both and see which is actually corrupted. Also check sp2.cab could be there too.

It's ok. Folders are recreated by a Windows file protection, but some of us disable it and then we can at least delete the folders after the setup because they are created during the setup. Some, like those in program files, are never created if the component is removed.

diabolett, check if that file is lowercased in i386 folder. If it is upcase it and retry. /don't remove _ at the end, leave all like original just upcased.

It's simpler to use nLite Unattended page for that, search there Program Files path.

You could search online for that issue I don't see how can nLite do that...maybe some tweak but no one else reported that over years.
