  1. If you have a way to install XP, then it will be the same for an XP disc created by nLite. You might need "manual install" not to be in the removed components ("OS options"). Don't forget nLite is for personal use only...
  2. And if you don't want to install Winrar (but I guess you have it so you could use your unpacked file), there are portable programmes like "Izarc2go".
  3. Could it be harware related ? +At what point exactly do you get that 000007B message ?
  4. So do I. I don't see any "non Windows" program in the addon list. Service Packs and KBs are made to be slipstreamed to Install Files, other Program Installers are meant to install programs on a running OS. You want things integrated in your disc (that's why you use nLite, don't you ?), use addons. This is exactly what you are looking for, ...that's why I mentioned them. Also slipstreaming is kind a bit of "unattended".
  5. What media (CD/DVD) are you using for that install? ... is it an original from MS or from Dell ?
  6. I might be totally of the mark as you do the same for IE and WMP and it seems to go OK, but it seems you just put dotnet "as is" when you shoud use addons to integrate programs to nLite check the addon subforum for lists of popular addons.
  7. Search the forum for "defrag" or "defragmenter", you'll find tons of threads about them. There is a sticky in the software forum for a start.
  8. It means for instance, you have XP English SP2 (without armenian language), you upgrade it to SP3 (adds armenian) and remove armenian from the languages list, all in 1 session, now if you want to begin again, you load XP SP2, load the presets, add SP3, now armenian is showing as present but not to be removed. Note that I am completely wrong about the ";" thing, that must be a sort of "categorie: armenian", but anyway, that is not correctly interpretated when loaded in the next session. The same is happening for about 15 languages that are added by English SP3. Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, ... Welsh, Zulu ...
  9. Hello, Minor annoyance here. If I understand the problem correctly, when you load the last session, nLite checks for components that are not in the source and marks them as not to be removed, adding a ";" in front of them. Adding SP3 via nLite can add a new component that has then to be re-removed as it shows present in the "components" step, making the "load last sesion" untrustable. I can say this happens for new languages, maybe other components ? example in last session.ini: ;Armenian Armenian
  10. Intregrating drivers with nLite is quite straightforward, you need the "inf" file for each driver (no zip or exe alone, you'll need to unpack them).I'd say try nLite first ad come back with more specific problems.

Saying you have "the same problem" will only get you the same answers. You need to be more specific or at least say what you've done up to now.
  12. Hi, I have (in an Excel cell) a link to create a mail with an "é" in the "Subject". That character becomes "é" in the actual mail subject. Is the problem in the link or in Outlook ? Any easy workaround ? Thanks.
  13. Only as in "only". What you did is reprocess the whole set of files and get a new "Last session.ini" file.
  14. Do not expect a big difference in install speed from USB vs CD.
  15. If you followed the instructions, aside of not swearing, you were not supposed to go through the components but directly to the "Make ISO" page.
  16. As you go through what ? The "last session.ini" is not modified by the "make iso" process. In fact none of the files in the working directory are modified. So as you go through what ?
  17. So we could also replace all those "main" partitions used in this thread by "primary" partitions.
  18. That's why it's called "Last session". For the source remaining untouched, you have your (read only) XP cd or you can make a backup of it somewhere else on your HD. As indicated by newposter, you are not supposed to use a modified set of files as new source, but depending what you are doing, it is possible. Common sense applies.
  19. Restart nLite, keep the working directory, don't load "last session", only chose last step "Bootable ISO", (25 second up to now) click "make ISO" button (the one you overlooked), give the file a path and name, an iso file is created. With any CD/DVD writing program, CDburnerXP for instance, use the menu "burn ISO IMAGE".
  20. Welcome to the forum. You might want to read posting rules. The 1st one will do. Then edit your post.
  21. Did you get the parts or was it built ? If built, contact the reseller. If parts, reset any aditional card/cable, begining with video card, memory, fan connectors. Also, did they make you pay for 10GHz ?
  22. That's more clever than me . I had that problem once a year ago and found out that restarting the machine, the install would go on with no further problem. Not very elegant I know.
  23. And if you haven't got much time, don't bother integrating SP2 before SP3, as SP3 contains SP2.
  24. Not at first but once the main problem sorted, a 80wire cable will still get you faster for sure.
  25. In XP Home, there is always an other user with administrators rights. An administrator account is created in every XP at install, wether there are other users created or not. The difference in XP Home is that the system will have you create a second user with admin right (at OOBE) that comes along the administrator. That user is the only one you see (it auto logs on until you create other accounts) and you can only log in as "admnistrator" (the hidden one) in safe mode.
